tried the 6 a couple of yrs back but only on sch's circuit ... Gd enuf to realize the readiness of it to go, anytime ...

 

U r quite rite on the similarities as the concept / design was derived from the hornet but engine came from the 07' rr ... Some countries actually calls the cb1000r as hornet too!!

 

Damage done, $26.5k w/o insurance.

Waiting time, 2-3 mths

i read the intro was for type I and type II versions

guess frm the look of it quite easy to be transformed to a cafe..

found this, the size and height look like very comfortable like that.. hehe

I saw a clip a rider on CB1100 pretty good riding posture, classic look... I find the jap pretty good at such retro styling bikes!

If you take a look at the latest CB600F aka Hornet, I did a comparison it bear hell alot of similarities with Hornet 900 in terms of design.

Hornet 900 engine taken from old CBR919RR, CB1000R given a much different identity kind of cross breed between sports & st-fighter. Yes, CB1000R was successor for Hornet 900. Afterall since its introduction to the market not much of changes until 2004, by the way 26.5K is it because of the color theme?

As for the $$, I didn't really ask but I supposed the color plays a part too ... But a few other places I chk with, gave me 28k for a blackie ... My mind is set on the tricolor, so I told ah shui specifically, "I want the tricolor only" and he got me one!! Deal!!!

Honda did made CB1000R very well in my opinion, a st fighter which "stole" my heart. Crack my mind hard, not sure which vehicle come in terms with CB1000R... perhaps I miss out too. Sadly for pricing its not attractive... even for CB600F, very far fetch compared against FZ600.

 

BBDC using CB750? Wah... memories, nice huge bike which I cruise through my CLS2 lesson.
