how much were you quoted? my 2007 vara plus the above accesories and top and side boxes cost 6.5k, mileage was around 40-50k

Can side racks from cb400 fit easily or must mod?

Basically it's thick metal strips with holes in it. Managed to get the rack off my old bike, now need to find a way to mount it.

Hahaha just went seng kwang this afternoon........ Spent 460 for rack , plates n weld additional metal pcs for side stand ... Now I feel poor
