its nothing new that you experienced an incosiderate reckless taxi driver that cuts through 3 lanes to get that dreaded passengers, or the near miss on the mysterious cyclist on a black starry night wearing a black shirt and black pants on an unlit road, or the rider that refuse to ride between cars at a traffic jam at the expressway, yet refuse to give way to other riders creating a massive queue of bikes between cars etc etc

that, or the beautiful stranger that lend you a helping hand when you meet with an accident, or getting stranded by the side of the highway when a stranger picked you up to send you to send you in time for your interview, or getting a note on your bike (with a smiley face) from the macdonald boys when you left your keys/ cashcard etc etc

this thread is intended to reach the party in saying thanks and showing appreciation - and/ or to trash out your innermost anger and grudges, against specific ______ (fill in the blanks)- and hope it reaches the intended party

here's my story (today):

*Jaywalker Blues & The Case Of The Helpful Stranger*

was weaving through an unprecedented congestion @ bedok reservoir road. and a blardy old man jaywalked and popped in front of a still car- so in trying absorb the impact, i brake so hard, "fall" left side whilst i flung forward with a head-first dive. it happens so fast i can't quite remember what happen. i recall this: "lets see.. my limbs are attached to my torso and the hinges works just fine". yup. im okay. besides these bruises and cuts with my pinky looking like a cocktail sausage, and the bike, kinda fall apart - oh well, all is fine. im fine. and the old man, i learn, stood up and walk away.

so he's fine.

in summary:

  • what i learn is this.. what doesnt kill you, well, sure as hell hurts alot :p

  • to that abang riding that big red/black bike along bedok reservoir road- wearing that green polo-t with shades on, thanks for sending my falling-into- pieces-bike back to my carpark and helping me out - was in a lil shock- so couldnt thank you properly

  • to that indian aunty (im sure she's not on this forum tho) thanks for picking me up to the side of the road

  • and to that old man, i pray you're okay. i also somewhat secretly hope that you get a mild heart attack from the scare, and vow that you, and the rest of your generations, will never jaywalk ever again- and you even go the next extra one thousand miles in creating awareness at the old citizens corner about dangers of jaywalking. amen

so what's your story.

in regards to the beautiful stranger helping me in an accident.. well.. she turns out to be the owner of the car my bike scrapped against when i fell on a wet road.. and in the end i "helped" her back wif my beautiful yusof ishaks.. LOL

once during a petrol run to 2nd link my bike ran out of fuel on the tuas bridge.. i was doing the great malaysian workout pushing my bike along the road shoulder when a malaysian stopped n offered assistance.. he helped pushed my bike while i was on it (regulars of boleh land shld be familiar wif the technique of someone else pushing u along using the pillion footpeg) all the way to the customs.. i was touched and believed again in the kindness of people :)

what you mean by using the pillion footpeg?

rider wif broken down bike sits on his own bike n steer.. while the assisting biker uses his left foot to push on the right pillion footpeg of the broken down bike.. assisting rider wif his left leg straight throttles n pushes the broken down bike forward

LOL!!!

dun get me wrong. am not laughing at ur misery . ur expression sure is funny!!

im always weary of taxi drivers myself. had toooo many near miss. once in the wee hours of the morning a taxi was trying to do an illegal u-turn at a pedestrian crossing. (hes on the left lane im on the right and he suddenly did like a sharp right turn). for once in my life, i shrieked so loud, im sure i turned blue. the neighbourhood blocks might've called the cops thinking someone got murdered or something.

well of course with that kinda shrieking he managed to stop in time, with my reflexes (considering its still sharp since im at my peak age) manage to swerve in time merely grazing his front bumper.. in adopting a more zen lifestyle, instead of hurling abuses, i ended up emotionally blackmailing him :D saying what if it was HIS daughter..

well max i think u can go the SAM or AXS machine after 3 working days of the incident to see if you have any pending summons. no news means good news!
