Hi, I was thinking of changing the handlebar and some accessories ( clutch/brake lever, side mirrors and throttle grip). Would Wing yap be a wise choice ? I'm thinking of changing to a renthal bar, but the guys at wing Yap were saying that they are only left with this brand known as ' Wealth '. It looks the same as Renthal but is it legit?

A piece of advice. Only go there if you want to be a 'vegetable'. Wealth bar? Isn't CNY yet leh. Clutch/brake lever, ahboy has them. $40-$50.

The rest, you can do some research on facebook/carousell. I believe they will have better prices than... erherm.

Lol, vegetable. Haha but thanks for the heads up man. Actually, Wealth handle bar was a legit qns. Other than rental, protape and rizoma, are there any aftermarket handle bars I can go for? And besides, most renthal handle bar are replica going at (50-80 bucks)

its up to individual when it comes to accessorizing their rides. if its transport bike, keep it simple. or if u intend to keep the bike for 2 to 3 years, go ahead.

Thanks for the tips guys This bike will probably stay with me for a couple of years. It is a transport bike but at the back of my head, I'm really itching to accessorise it Part by part of course, not all at one go.

I intend to raise the height of the handlebar. Perhaps if the FZ1 handlebar is taller, I do not have to install an extra bar clamp as recommended by my Indonesian friends from the Byson community.

You don't need an extra barclamp. It may seem higher because you can tilt the handlebar to the angle you like.

Using illegal aftermarket exhaust+k&n filter+cdi. Top speed and acceleration definitely improve lah. Of course your consumption would be alot higher.

If you're in Singapore, you can do with the yoshi exhaust but I find no point, you pay $800 just for that extra bit of horsepower??

Actually I am not sure if my handlebar is stock.

 

I already visualized my bar tilted to another angle. Doesn't seem to add much height. Again, I am not sure if my bar is the original stock like what you mentioned that it could add height.

 

I went touring with the guys there and my indonesian friend let me ride his bike for the full 3hrs throughout the journey.

I like the riding posture. Very comfortable I must say riding long distance with his raised handlebar.

I'm using the flat one. Cone one... iirc need to remove the airbox or whatever.

Hi everybody. I wanna ask. My bf is riding fz16st, he just did top overhaul on 22 june 2015, he bought this bike from his frend on 24 june 2014. On 5 september, he did normal service. The day after he service, he face some problem with his bike. He having problem starting his bike. It takes his 4-5 times for the bike to start, while he warm up his bike, ard 1-2min, the bike suddenly turn off. I really need ur help. Anyone knows why this happen? Before he did service, nothing like this happen. Pls help! :(

Hi Guys need advice , my bike FZ16 st rpm and ignition start also not working. I kick start since last 2 weeks. Have change my batt 3 mths ago. I ask bike shop they tell me to change meter 200++. Needs more input frm u guys.TIA

Hi. I am new here. I just changed my fz16 tire to pirrelli sports dragon. But as the tire is higher than original, there is no spacing between the back tire and the top flap on top. Literally is touching it already. Is it normal and save??
