save up. no point spending when u financially cannot or struggling to buy. this boils down to need or want.

Hi i just took over this bike fz16 and i encounter this issue

 

When the bike in ideling mode, the rpm keep dropping until the engine cut off. But there is no problem when im riding at normal speed. Anybody know whats the issue with this

I encounter the same issue, went to my mechanic. He did a simple adjusting of some cable( 5 second work) at the left side of the engine. Rpm increase from 1k to 1.5-2km when idle. Engine stop dying. But occasionally still will, wondering if change to racing cdi will resolve the issue anot. Anyway one else know?

I tried adjusting the screw at the left side. It only last for few month before the issue brcome more serious. now everytime in idle mode, it will stall unless i throttle my bike in "N" gear or clutch in. My mech checked my carbrator, air filter but to no vaild.

Keep on adjusting your idling pin, get another mech to check to confirm if it's either carb or air filter. Usually these are the 2 problems that gives you unstable idling.

I have a 2nd hand fz16 gen1, been riding for awhile already.

any recommended shops to fix the petrol gauge in the tank?

Mine tends to show lesser fuel in the tank than there is.

We do know roughly our own bike's mileage but would be nice to have it functioning when I'm selling it off yea?

Recently i was facing this issue also. Workshop sold me "Liqui Moly" bike fuel additive to add in. Engine cut off problems better than before. What he told me inside might dirty. I guess the function of this fuel additive was clean up some grease inside.

Have anybody knows that Fz16 beside air filter box, there is a drain hose attached. This hose connect to which part??

 

Mine 1 the drain hose loose and i dont know attach to which parts. Will it affect anything??

maybe engine is cold when u start. u can try to apply the choke when u warm up b4 ride. when u had ridden the bike for some time, does it still cut off?

u need to change the rear rim, remove the dram brake kit and replace with a rear brake pump n have to locate a location to mount it. dun think its cheap. cost, unsure.

if engine is fully warm up, shd not b a prob. if it does, likely air filter dirty or idling too low.

This is normally a chain slack issue.. Get your chain tightened to the correct slack (if it is still in a good condition).

Before my fz16st engine will stall sometime while waiting traffic light.Now bike enjin wont stall frequently.

Today I just check the stock tyre to Pirelli angel city 140/70 and 110/70. Bike feel obvious less power and chain become tighter, any idea? ( tested abit on engine, still feel strong, more like when moving the power lesser)
