As you never owned another bike before, one of the main cost will be insurance. As a young rider wth no NCB this could add up to be quite a bit.

All depends on your finances. CB ins will be cheaper than CBR ins. Call around for quotes. Don't just except whatever the bike shop offers you. If you buy your bike in full cash you can opt for 3rd party and save a little. IF you have loan then you can't as the shop needs to cover their own behind.

Hard to give you a figure you will need cos it will depend how much you willing to spend. From 10yr coe super4 or new one? That alone can be 5digit difference.

standby 2-3k would be good,

go find shop which offer one month warranty.

and pester them to fix everything.

since ts is newbie... they could simply tell him tt prob has been fixed when it hasn't or do shortcuts... very common

boring rider. with a boring bike.

too old to want to appear interesting anymore.
