COE - Hitting the roof

it seems like COE for motorcyles keeps going up.Are there really a demands or is there an unknown sources bidding it to make it hit the roof. if COE hit 3k mark, i think better i ride a bicyle.

Thought to get an old crap bike, do some DIY restoration then renew COE 10 years if I done the job properly.

 

At this rate it will be more practical to buy a brand new bike in a couple of years.

increased demand for bikes = increased price of COE for bikes.

 

supply and demand issues. from what i see, coe for bikes will rise for a while and then maintain at a certain level, similar to cars.

 

but good also la, increased motorcycle usage, more awareness for the "minority".

have not really compared the numbers but at a glance

you can tell it is VERY lopsided on the 4 wheeler vs 2 wheeler stats

even on accidents

we get called bad road users look at the fatality rate

What with the population increase and all, COEs are just going to get higher and higher. Based on the tables above, it's clear that the proportion of CARS is increasing at a much faster rate than bikes, which means we're becoming a smaller and smaller minority on the roads.

 

I thought of selling my bike with 8 years worth of COE left, but now I think I'd better hang on to it for the next few years in case I can't afford to renew the COE on another bike.

I no money, buy only 1,500 cc Vios, the COE so much cheaper, those earning big money can afford big cars pay more for COE fair lah.

Those drive big car the COE expensive, want to save some money but still need transport, can go and change buy smaller car, the COE cheaper by $10,000.00 ++

 

But for riders, ride big bikes eg: Harley 1,300cc, when COE expensive, change to ride kup kia, KNN! COE also same price!!! Kena snooker! @#$%^&*!!!

Then those riding 50cc old school kup renew COE also same price as 1,300cc bikes 26 times their cc.
