two dif bikes, two diff styling. one motard, one sports...

fc i would say most prob the lower cc one since duke 200 has been reported to consume more fuel then the duke 125. pricing both cost 5 digits... so about same... insurance wise sports bike always more ex... maintenance wise, both liquid cooled n both 4stroke, should be same amount of EO n coolant so really depends on how hard u ride as a rider...

racing in traffic...

200cc vs 125cc, of course will consume more fuel. r125 more expensive than duke 125, insurance also higher. Don't talk about FC on 125 4 strokes, they are nothing compared to 2 strokes, powerwise also behind as well.

i will get ktm duke instead of yzf 125. anyway for noobs dont need to ride so ex bike la, i can gurantee u that u will sure get bored of it after 1year cuz of the lack of power in 2B bikes, might as well save the money abit get a better higher cc 1 later. then ppl will say that sg road 90km/h limit no need so big bike, later on when u ride bigger bikes u will know what i mean.

Practicality aside, I will also go for the KTM. But like most riders here, it is not practical to spend so much on a 2B bike cos at the end of the day, Ah Peks will still overtake you and you still feel so inadequate on the road and wish for more torque/speed.

Save the money, ride a cheaper 2B bike and use the saved money for your bigger bikes as you progress through 2A and 2.

I feel so good I kept my 2B bike from 2B licence all the way through 2, and now am keeping it for sentimental reasons... this is the first vehicle that I bought firsthand... even though I also have another class 2 bike.

Anyway, the journey from 2B to 2 was helped mainly by this 2B bike cos of the handling experience in changing gears, etc. Gotta make sure it is a proper manual bike as with your driving centres. It is impt to have constant practice cos if you are riding the auto scooters, etc... how to remember to do things properly during 2A and 2?

And now... I can choose from the entire range of bikes and no need to worry abt restrictions due to licence class.

BTW, this 2B bike cost more than my 2nd hand Class 2 bike!!!

Ride safe pple.

I would prefer to buy the KTM.Buy a second hand, not too old and keep it until class 2.

Dont waste your money if you are in the future, going to get a class 2 bike.

KTM Duke is not a motard, its belly clearance is too little for it to go off road. It is a naked/street bike.

In terms of performance, KTM hands down.

Save money, save petrol, then r125.

However both is not worth ur money buying it. :)

Sad but true - choices of bikes for 2b and 2a extremely limited.

maybe can try 90km/h around bends and corners.

straight roads are for the rich

bends and corners are for those with balls haha

that also means should get a higher CC bike with more power that can accelerate through corners
