If you want to get your license fast reinforce your understanding of the motorcycle by learning about its history, the physics of motorcycle handling, get lots of tips on safety riding online.

www.carbibles.com for automotive theory, to get your interest perked on what's going on under your seat

www.msgroup.org for tons and tons of riding theory and safety topics. This is the missing 99% from local riding schools you will either learn the hard way or develop similar theories during long distance trips in future. Learn early to get an advantage over fellow learners.

If you know how a motorcycle works, when you fall in the test circuit (happens to all of us) you will not panic and will know where exactly the mistake came from, and take measures to directly correct it. You will also be mentally prepared to do the more dangerous (for newbies) test courses like emergency braking, figure of 8 etc without loss of confidence.

Heck, if you're a petrolhead you'd have done all your homework already before taking the license and know what the testers expect of you - and you can do the whole 2B curriculum in 3 months or whatever is the next TP test date. Don't listen to "popular advice" * if you want to get a license fast and have a safe riding career ahead - you have to do your own research on what is right and wrong, then do your own thing safely.

* - should be read as get opinions from everywhere but do not stick to one source of "good advice". Who knows, someone slick-sounding "advice" is influenced by commercial intent... others are ill informed and still believe motorcycles are steered by stepping on the footpegs and engines are only powerful at certain revs "because valve open". Not correct.
