Hey guys i just got my bike Yamaha X-1 last week. I rode it for the past week and nothing seem wrong with the bike.

There's this problem with my bike here, hope you guys bike gurus out there would be able to help me with it!

I rode for the past week and everything seem to be ok, until 2 days ago when my bike suddenly lose power and stall in the middle of CTE at extreme right lane(man! bad experience). I thought the engine was overheat(as you guys know X-1 do not run with coolant), so i waited for 10mins and started the bike again and continue my journey.

So I thought everything was ok until my engine stalled again when I was on my way to Clementi, this time on PIE -.- I then continue my journey and completed my errands and went to a bike shop to refity the problem and it stalled again, i waited again and started the engine. The mechanic said my the head of my spark plug(i think so) was broken, so i saw it was broken too, so i changed a new one. When I was on my way back home, almost home my engined stalled again. I pushed my bike back to the carpark(lucky it was just a 5mins push).

Some observations, the bike will usually run for about 10mins and die off(i did some testing in my carpark). And when it die, the pipe will give some *piak* *piak* *piak* sound from the pipe.

HOW? HELP! Tomorrow is sunday, following day is labour day bike shop close. And I have to book in on Tuesday. FML man!

Since it isn't an idling stall issue, it's probably the CDI.

Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

Hm.. Could it be the problem with the carburetor as well? The bike dies off when I'm curising halfway and before it dies off there's this backfire sound from the pipe.

If it was, you might experience abnormal function all the way, and not intermittent die off.

Hey guys thanks for your help. The bike got worst and cannot even ride for more than 5mins. I tow my bike to the shop and got it repaired. The problem was with the spoilt carboreuter choke and coil.

Did you feedback this to the shop you bought from? Because this surely can't happen during the time you own it, must have it long ago.

Thanks for the prompt reply bro. Went to planet today. Mine is a different case with yours. My choke cable is deactivated. Meaning there is a choke plug, but there is no cable. Suspected it could be fuel pump cos my bike fuel pump dun look original and there is no fuel filter.

I think change the choke cable should not be too exp
