NEED UR OUTMOST ADVICEs & RECOMMENDATIONS

 

hi guys, my BB soon will be 100 000km. so wat do i nd to do?? so far till nw i just do the normal servicin and the last one i did was changed the battery, alternator and rectifier. i have not yet do the timin chain, cam tensioner etc. so i was thinkin to do ALL at 1 go....hahaha lots of money.n of course intended to keep my BB till COE ord....pls advise.

hey bro the milage will be same as mine.....i tink a top overhaul will be good....its roughly around 300 to 400 bucks at ah lai at ubi industrial park......maybe after my thailand trip i will do it n let u guys knoe wats the cost n feeling of an overhauled BB

bro, i called up the shop and the guy said dat he gotten me a brand new fairing.. den i ask can i get the old fairing back and he said cannot coz must send to the insurance agent.. den i say after sending den i can still have it rite.. den he say dat will be like 3 to 4 months and he doesnt want to go thru the hassle of keeping it.. Pl advise.. I really want to help Vac_z.. haiz.. anybody got spare bike wanna let go... i wanna use it for transport to skul.. travelling from tampines to Jln bahar everyday.. Petrol is a killer sia.. haha...

Well bad luck 4 me i guess. Dun hav de heart 2 spend close 2 $2k on de tank n fairings alone. Hav 2 continue sourcing 4 de parts. Tks anyway.

Need ur help on this.....i just bought a GPT gear indicator series 2000i....anyone of u guys using it n knoe how to program the thing?i follow the instructions but like cannot like tht.....

top overhaul doesnt mean u have to change all ur stuff on top like blocks cams piston lah or wat so ever....its only the servicing of the valves the cams the timing chain the gaskets the throttle body the FI and so on...if needs replacement then cost more lor....

1)reserve..hmm...i tried with easy throttle...40+km

 

2)if urs is 01 Fi,i suggest u ride til the blinks comeout,then reset the tripmeter,go jb pump petrol until full then see wats how many litres u managed to squeeze.From there u will roughly noe how many more km u can go till empty.the most i pump was 21L..still have 3 more liters to go.

 

3)Standard says 42psi-front and back

Tyres varies la fren...i normally go for Bridgestone.

the most important is it must be touring tyres(BT 14 or 21)...racing tyres are meant for track.

6 track session must change liao.

 

Thanks bro for the reply... I tried on friday nite, it starts to blink before 2nd link and when reach GP Esso I pump full but it's only 17L. Was blur cos from the specification on the net saying that 01 BB is 23L tank, but reserve to full is only 17 which mean total reserve is 6L

 

So anyone can advice how much is the reserve balance in the tank when it starts to blinke???? thanks.
