bro khan84, when the FI lights up. It indicates that your bike is having a problem. It will not blink yet until you activate it to blink. The number of blink will tell you what problem ur bike is facing. I suspect yours is the famous 25 blinks coz u said after 10 mins the fi light to appear. I suspect ur FI lights appears once u hit more tha 3000 or 4000 rpm... nontheless, you can find out the number of blinks and post back here.. Our BB GURU's will surely help diagnose ur problem.. so the question now is how to know the number of blinks.. simple..

 

1) Ride until the FI light appears

2) Stop the bike by the side in neutral position (DO NOT SWITCH OFF YOUR ENGINE)

3) Kick your side stand out

4) Kick your side stand back in

 

By kicking your side stand in and out while in neutral will allow the fi light to blink. You will need to count the number of long blink and short blink. Long blink will represent 10 short blinks. In other words, if you have 2 long blinks and 5 short blinks..

10 + 10 + 5 = 25 (the infamous 25 blink)

 

Let's hope is it not the 25 blinks.. hoping to hear frm you soon...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated from anyone here..

Dame it... Just collected my bike on 09092010. At 11plus pm. and when riding home my FI light came on. Dont know what happen but called the workshop to sent it back on tuesday for touch up.

Ask the workshop to respray the bike for me, But the result that comes out the such a disappointment. color wrong design wrong haiz....

going to list down the item to take not when sent the bike back to the workshop...

wellcome to the 2 long 5 short blinkers ... i got it too after change my exhaust to rs6.. but not proven yet its becos of the exzos though ..

I was told by a lot of advisors here esp sujak n greysnail dat its a normal and harmless problem .. it is said dat bike is on Safe mode .. n u will feel a slight jerk when the light turn red while u r riding .. it is 'safe' becos i wen to thai and kl safely with the 2L5S .. but i tink i cant go for top speed (like real ahhh !!) as i feel the engine being controlled by the safe mode .. but dont worry, u still can go above 200km .. anyway, if u have any other infor, share wit me k ...

bro khan84, 25 blinks shows dat ur having a a knock sensor problem according to the bb manual. However, solving the problem is trickier than diagnosing it. I've encountered various solutions from diff bb owners. Handling the problem mite caused you to fork out a few hundreds to maybe a thousand.. Dun worry too much about the 25 blink coz when it happens, ur bike is currently in a "safe mode" riding condition. Jus like windows safe mode. You cant got for top speed but u can surely "fly".

 

we have a few bb bro's here with the same 25 blink problems and hv been riding with it for a few years.. Im just one of the lucky B**terds whose 25blinks decided to magically disappear one day.. haha... and the theory could actually lead to the drying of moisture in the knock sensor connection as told by bro jbat.. join us for meet ups and we can further talk abt it.. (make sure u can endure for some-stomach-cramps session) hehe..

Tix cost $62 ( main grandstand plus tshirt n cap). We can get an apartment at Regency ( beside beach club ) 3 bedrm apt ard rm720 a nite. Enuf to squeeze all of us in. Cost can split among fellow birdies.

 

Leave sg 9th morn spend sat aftn n nite in Kl chilling. 10th morning leave for sepang for motogp.

4pm from sepang we go senawang for dinner (Arabian restaurant). Then head home at nite. Reach sg by 12am.

A relative of mine met an accident on hari raya eve. He was on his small decent bike when a car suddenly stop and he bang from the back cos of 0 reaction time. He is now in ICU on a machine. The head was badly damaged, portion of skull and both eyes got to be removed. Went to visit him but i will save the details. Last news, the doctor cannot do anything else... He got a spouse and 3 kids. Im not asking for donations ... just a reminder to us all ..... lets Ride Hard ... and Ride Safe..

bro... really sad to hear this piece of news, a mishap occurred to a fellow Muslim on Hari Raya Eve. Conditions like what you said is a big burden to his family too:(

Idling at 2rpm... thats high...

My FI light also on. I check and it 2long and 5short blink. Sending in to the shop for check... But my bike still ok perform as normal. I will also ask my Bike shop on your FI light for you and see if they know anything on it...
