Hey guys...juz an update on the ecu thingy...got chang3d at UM on the last day of 2010...damm...wallet got hole sia...ok thers 2 types of ecu for the injection model...analog one is arnd 100 bucks l3sser than digi...mine total was 980 bucks with 2 sets of keys...heart pain...wat an end to 2010...haiz...but of course the feeling is perfect afther the change...got the ecu from fjt...theres a code below...so check properly b4 buying one..happy new year to all...

 

Bro zest...u too look diff...haha...put on abit...

i went to unique at toh guan actually his stock is 930 bucks...but i tell him that i've called fjt earlier and they qoute me 900 so they get it at fjt....but do check the serial number...diff model diff price...

Yo bro Thx for the info , after a few research and got my biked checked.... Realise it was leaking thru a small hole behind the Water pump ...... The impeller did not function and it cause the leaking and high temp it ever went up till 120'c , previously the mech forgotten to tpp up my coolant.... Got a free new pump frm the shop hehe !!

Does ur Fi light come out again....?

 

Is it the infamous 25 blink that bothering u, as u change ur ecu..???

Guys, I might be able to source cheaper reconditioned ECMs with a one-year warranty. And you won't have to buy new keys (they ship with the original HISS chips which we can swap out), which will easily save you another $200 ($70 for new key, $30 for reprogramming if my memory serves me).

 

So if you're thinking of fixing this problem, hold on first, I might be able to help you save some money, up to $600+ if I count correctly. They provide warranty for up to 1 yr after your purchase, and according to them they upgrade the damaged part with a superior component so that the problem will never happen again. The problem with buying a new replacement ECM from Honda is that this problem will come back again after a few years, which then comes back to square one. I know several 2004 and 2007 bikes which also have this problem, so Honda did not solve this issue. The reconditioned ECMs come with upgraded electrical components that is supposed to solve this problem permanently.

 

Another advantage is that you can test if it solves your problem before buying. I was afraid to go to Boon Siew or other shops because they said that once they open the packaging, you have to take the ECM whether it solves your problem or not. The unit costs $1300 the last time I asked them, so if the thing doesn't work and my FI light keeps on blinking, I am $1300 poorer for nothing. With the recond units, if it doesn't solve your problem, no worries.

The fi light is so irritating, dunnoe juz to let it b or chnge the ecu, price is steep, might as well chnge to hyperpro suspension wif tat amt

 

Bro..change the ecm...hyperpro can wait...have an engine cut while cornering is more dangerous than having a no shiok suspension...

hi all fellow bbians.

 

Is the FI version of BB really that problem matic? I mean i always thought bb are really bullet proof bikes around despite the age, but seems like people keep telling me about the ECU and FI sometimes keeps screwing up?

 

so whats the down sides and up sides for owning a bb (carb and ECU vers) ? and btw how much is the yearly rd tax huh? was looking at BB but seems like these few factors are giving me 2nd thoughts?
