The combustion inside the engine will do the sucking of the air..

next time when u service ur scoot, leave the filter/ aribox out, start the engine, rev and feel the suction yourself.

Then u will know how it works

thanks for the info bro ... but still quite skeptical about it facing back ... like how much air is sucked when u are on the move? coz never came across a inlet for engine facing the back. hhhmmm ...

hope u understand .. juz want to justify the actual use of these filters .. if its juz to add noise to the machine i'll rather skip. looking for a better alternative for air filteration other than open pod and stock.. looks like have to stick to stock, huh...

I nv use the product b4 n nv had the chance to observe how it really work...

Seems dat u hav performace in mind over other factors..

go tink about my few comparison which I hav tink off n c if it helps based on no knowledge of that product

1) will this product suck in more air than a traditional open pod filter??

2) will this product suck in lesser air than the orginal airbox?

3) Is maintaining this product easier than the orginal airbox or open pod filter

4) Is product lighter than the orginal airbox or open pod filter (weight plays a diff in performace)

5) Is the fixture of this product easier than an orginal airbox or open pod filter (if the bike requires some mods here n ther to fit the product)

6) Is this product built specially for use on my bike. (compatibility is important..ther might be many universal parts but end of the day is it a tested proven thingy on ur make n model)

Buying the "bling" cool looking factor is easy buying performace requires a different way of thinking

Question. Was he really working 7 years in advertising industry?

That was what he told me the last time we spoke.

However he does not even understand the most basic of creative lingos, what print job entails and what printing methods there are out there! Which made me highly suspicious.

Some examples.

1. He said 2-tone printing was more expensive than CMYK (4 colours!) and required special printing machines.

2. He has his own definition of "pro-bono" when I told him I do not want his logo on the decals. He said it is his branding, even though the design and template was done by me! Cmon, you dun slap a sony logo on a LG phone! Pro-Bono means voluntarily and without payment! So having his logo on the decals does not mean it is a pro-bono job!

3. I only require his services to print and stick the decals on my bike and was quoted $150!

4. He thinks it is perfectly alright to use copyrighted materials on his decals as long as it fulfils what the customer needs.

A lot more. Talk to him can vomit blood. So was he self taught or has he actually work in the creative industry before?

exactly bro... no need to :gun: him like tat ... its all about demand and supply ... if there is a demand , confirm sum1 will supply ...

abt his logo, i've seen air brush artist put his/her signature or logo or initial on his/her werk. as e form of recognition tat its his/her werk. but of course tats a totally different skill altogether.

at the end of the day, the choice is made up by us, consumer!

tats a good 'buying guide' list u got there ... actually its not juz performance i'm looking for .. its more like education .. learn more about my scoot function and mods availability ... its very interesting, coz in the market, they always come out wat they claim to do tis, do tat. some may be true.. sadly most are just fad ..

wat i'm looking for .. actually i oso dunnoe

more to practicality and a lil bit of perfomance. for example on y i choose X pipe instead of B, knowing tat B has a better perfomance. its because it look like a ktm exhaust!!!! sounds lame and ridiculous esp if u paying a good sum of money but hey tats juz me.

u serious abt the doppler filter ar? but it looks damn good sia! thanks for the input.

Hey bro, i think you have misunderstood me.

Slapping his own logo onto the decal is perfectly fine with me, provided the design and template was done by him

If not it will be like using other ppl's backside skin to stick on your own face.

What gets me is that he is quoting me $150 for printing and pasting of the decals, claiming that was his pricing due to his "expertise". $150!!! No design at all!!

And work that was not done by him, he still claim it. Eg, his website is a modified flash template, but he say until he did everything himself! What a joke!

End of the day, what I really wish to know is if he has really been in the advertising industry for 7 years.

If not, it will be like a vehicle salesman, who claims he has been building vehicles for 7 years even though he has not so as to justify why his vehicles cost xxx amount when it is lesser than that!

Sorry if I had offended anyone here. Just need to get it out of my chest.

Hey, i think stock the best lah.

How much you want to modify a runner?

If want really fast should get a 2A or class 2 bike already.

Modify so much, sure a lot of problems one. Stock stock the best.

Tne engineers put in a lot of research into the bike. So if modify anything, wear and tear definitely higher. Same as most bikes.

SG also no place to travel so fast.

Relax and enjoy the bike man!

i dun think u get wat i mean ... i agree fast, i shd get a r1 or haya!!

wat i get from mod is not really the speed ... but personal satisfaction ... like everyday u go down to ur car park ... wah my bike!!! not like .. aiyah must go to werk!! .. and when riding.. hhhmm i like the way it sound!! not like .. that runner solid sia!!!

its so hectic already in s'pore .. so tis is my current 'non living' passion .. and passion does take ur time and money ..

but tis is my opinion ... some may agree ... some might juz say say i'm juz bullshitting here ..

I think if you wish to "wah my bike!", mod outlook can already lah.

If mod engine, wear and tear very fast.

Btw, for runner, change pipe only look nice and sound nice.

No difference in speed.

There was an article on different exhaust for runner and they certify that there was no speed or hp difference.

hello rst owners!.i got a problem with my bike not even the glorified bikeshops of kallang avenue and even Piaggio could solve after repeated towing and payment.the problem is still there people.can u imagine?.neither can i.

ok here goes.my gilera loses power when i go above 100k/hr or a rapid increase in rev and eventually die upon coming to a full stop.this happens when..it usually happens when bike is not fully filled with petrol.why?usually i need start it up again repeatedly thus leading to my battery being flat (and end up towing to piaggio)

initially i sent to taihin and they said my rectifier was busted and it wont charge when in high rev.they also said its my battery.then it happened again and i send to piaggio and they said my batt's flat again.nothing wrong with rectifier.so they fully charge it and said to tow it back again if anything happen.

when i got back my bike from piaggio 2 weeks ago,i decided to keep my tank full and ride per normal.nowwwww its busted again.so people.

1) is it my carburattor setting? too lean? ..too rich??..

2) battery cant charge cos rectifier busted?

please help.i desperate already.spend too much money and time on a problem that not even the trusted mechs can solve.how?....now reaaallllyyyy desperate cos 1k left to end of warranty.i dun want to pay and pay and pay.

Gay up a bike and u get a Fino.Crash a Gilera and u get the ST200.

Haha, me no expert.

But what mods did you do to your bike?

Easier to isolate the source of problem from there.

oh yeahhhhh!!...pipe and open pod.

I had this problem long long long time ago.

I fix the "pineapple" on my LC kia, something like open pod lah!

When petrol going to finish or left just a bit, the bike will go into overdrive. Super high rev, and engine always stall.

So I guess that could be the source of your problem?

Wild guess only lah. Ask spy, he is the expert here.
