What does a malossi open pod filter do?

And what effect it will have when u put a cover over the filter?

erm more air intake.pickup.and it looks less cluttered above the tire.to me la atleast.my bike lose abit power without the cover.tried at sunrise already.but no money at that point of time to buy.and of course its good on rainy days

reli meh, put cover, more power... went to fix at taihin, they said tat dun put cover so more air intake or air intaking is easy hence more power...

 

fixed power booster just now at sunrise , d pickup got a bit better and better fc.... more mileage....

the open pod filter of malossi is aready not at gd compare to other brands of filters available...wif a cover covering it will only restricts airflow opposing to the idea for using an open pod filter...nvtheless it does help in protecting the filter from water...

 

anyway rain will not seep into the filter dat easily unless rain falls in a way like putting a running tap above the sponge like filter..

oh, haf to top up 3 times ar... oh like tat wn ar... coz my riding mileage is from east to north then central then north back, got pillion samo... n usually, i need to top up at nite...daily

 

after fixing the bottle, same mileage, same amount of petrol, but in 2 days its next top up...

hahaha...

 

but ar, heard and read tat it saves petrol, or is the meter playing wif me or m i just imagining tings.... any thanks for ur comments

 

bout the cover, taihin says its no use one but sunrise says y does the design come wif the cover if it does not perform...? might elsewell desgn it withot the cover...?

I second sheep, i get at best, 240. That's with lots and lots of highways man.. But the power of a 2 stroker is quite a thrill to have lah.. And if you're into mods, i just started a new thread, lol. (Minor spam) XD

 

But really, know what you want and go for it. You get the best results when you're satisfied with your ryde... =)

hmm i dunno if this makes sense...lets say a person buys a tiger to replace the cat cos the tiger more garang.but still need to put on a leash on the tiger.....so i think the open pod is oso the same...too much air oso no good..but with open pod the air flow is better than the box...even with the cover on.anyways i dun really like the big black box...

hmmm... so the entire range from 'E' to 'F' is 12L right?

 

that means... i managed to hit 240KM with 9L worth of fuel and i think i can go further. the low fuel light still haven't lighted up yet. the needle is pointing at the last mark before the 'E'.

 

normally, around which marker will the low fuel light come on?

ok...agree wif u... the black box is not much to my liking too...dun u tink tat our kind of bike can mod like nobody business... change here n change tat...tune here and there... but i like it coz everyting legal mah... but if change to a bigger carb, racing piston, racing block etc. , do u tink its advisable for a 4 stroker n is it legal?
