guys do keep us updated on the oil leaking problems so that the rest of us can monintor our rides if in case this is a manufacturing fault:giddy:

actually i oso quite pissed off at the ppl in asp... when wana buy that time... everything oso know.. then aft buy liao everything say not sure.. cannot be la... tis n that....

 

then keep stalling time for stuff like road tax and stuff... keep going there oso sian.

Sorry to hear that you guys are having so much prob with leaking oil & stalling...

 

Mine was ok so far, except that its really hard to restart the bike before it completely cools off. When its completely cold in the morning...no prob starting up at all

 

My other biker fren were going "wth? cold bike then cannot start mah?"

 

In the end, have to carefully throttle while pressing the ignition. But a few times, that caused a loud clicking sound, like something locked up, which is quite scary.

 

Besides the buzzing sound when applying the front brakes, did anyone hear the whistling sound coming from the back after the bike heats up? I get that once the heat reaches 5 bars & it sounds like those kettle when the water is boiling.

 

It is most obvious when I got back to the carpark & its quiet. I can hear the whistling just before I off the engine.

 

Lastly, I read that someone was doing hard run in...& a few of my very experienced biker fren also said its wise to do so...although it may be too late for me...

I changed my oil at 500km & have been riding quite hard since then...haha. Not exactly the kinda hard run-in that my fren taught me, but I plan to change oil again at 1000km just to be KS...

bikebulance is the authorised tow company for piaggio.

Hi guys, was reading this thread. Wht i noticed is tt there are alot of complications in the new runner. Planning to get a new one but at the same time searching for 05' runner. Any advices?

Hi Pipi, very sad to hear about your luck. I think i can understand what u feeling. You've wait for a few weeks and only to receive a faulty bike. Its either QC wasn't done properly or something might happen during delivery. Hope its just a loose engine oil screw else make sure u get a brand new replacement. BTW its still in warranty.

 

Bike sellers should do a through check of the bike before selling it to the customer. Best is to test it out first around the shop vicinity before taking it home. At least they can't deny responsibility. Ur's is a good lesson for all of us here.
