rollers are classified in grams.. lighter for pick up .. heavier for distance..

so u mean the heavier i put my FC better?

it all depends on ur throttle control, riding style n tunning..if u hav not mess ard wif ur orginal carb settings then it shld be rather fine...

Nowadays many different brands of rollers n different weight of rollers r easily available in the market unlike few years back the choices r much lesser...

wat I will always suggest for relatively stock machines, juz choose the "mid weighted" rollers for an overall smooth range...

To choose the correct rollers suitable for u, 1st u will have to find out the weight of ur orginal rollers before deciding how much to reduce or increase but in usual cases it will always be reducing.

A simple example on 2strokes the orginal rollers are weight 15.5 or 15.7g if I remember correctly. If ur machine is rather stock, u wont be using anything heavier than orginal coz the engine cannot pull well enuff n if u go all the way to 10g n below, u will end up over reving instead..not too sure abt 4strokes but my advice is juz to shed 1-2g off the orginal roller settings will be fine whereby u will feel slightly better pickup n perhaps the same top end power

rollers are classified in grams.. lighter for pick up .. heavier for distance.. so u want pick up .. mod for pick up .. note tat u can't have the best of both world.

pipe and open pods are subjective.. obviously its lighter than stock.. shed weight better pick up already .. dun look at me, i'm heavy.. kekeke

if inlet and outlet have a better flow.. theoretically shd be better .. since the main component tat go past thru ur carb is air .. more air = more fuel, rite? if not, not balance mah ... so therefore better combustion ... rite?

whether it will harm ur bike or not, it depends on how u interprete 'harm'. does it include wear and tear?

rollers are classified in grams n sizes...u cannot use a 50cc machine roller on ur 200cc machine coz it wont fit ur variator..

Eg: 2stroke orginal variator uses 20x17 rollers, 4stroke orginal variator uses 20.9x17 rollers, 50cc 2stroke orginal variator uses 19x15.5 rollers...thus when u change to aftermkt variators u will also hav to check wat is the correct roller sizes to use

Hi all, readin throught the page n i notice that many pple just dont understand the terms of moddin their bike...

1st thing - Do u ready need to get a exhaust or filter.?

2nd thing - Do u need speed or corner.?

Just ask yourself this 2 things 1st... If u gg for speed than i advise u to change the rollers 1st, cause that will make the biggest change.. Just my 2cent...

 yup yup many of the new riders nowadays all at a lose of wat they wanna mod...I guess it boils down of not having enuff product knowledge

apparently it seems that handguards, open pod n a high mount exhuast r the correct basics...I guess not much ppl really know abt the purpose of a variator, torque pulley, torque springs, adjustable clutches, cams, valves, carbs n block kits.

not too sure how true is it... but to improve the bike's performance, change the transmission first. exhaust and open pod can come later. actually, they don't play a major part in the bikes performance... although they give minimal performance improvements.

it will only be true if the rider knows which transmission parts to change n how to set it up

yes it is n usually a TM24 will last u 2yr or so n then it will start to spoil..rebuilt kit for the carb so far not available in Spore.

WAH! got expiry date 1 ah? :slapforehead:

Ur water pump seals are spoil...at $120 itz the cheaper n simpler way to "fix" the pump problem by changing the shaft, bearings n seal..watz left unchanged is the water pump "fan" itself which is inside ur crank case n hopefully it had not been broken into pieces coz if itz the "fan" dat is faulty then to repair means splitting the engine case n it will cost way more than $120 juz to replace a small plastic part.

Giles, the water pump for 4strokes is locate out of the engine case thus changing it at $200 means the whole water pump assy is being replace.

Runners r using liquid cool engines wif a lousy mechanical water pump which is always a common problem..for 4strokes itz much easier to change but for 2strokes, it is a headache.

This is a pic of how a 2 stroke water pump assembly look like..at $120 u will change eeverything inside except the "black fan"

But he say its ok if don change, but dangerous....

change it when i have the money....

thanks....

i notice one of ya bike is FK18L. now on a suzuki K6 1000 that is stolen rite?

btw u are talking about rollers? change to wat rollers better? and does it affect FC? im just trying to learn things here. dont flame me..

Err i think so... Cant really remember, as i sold the bike n plate together...

Talkin about rollers, i think doctor pulley is one of the best now.... For me i will prefer to change this 1st so that i could feel the differents immeditely & does not damage any of your original parts too... If u wanna learn more, the best is to meet up some runner riders to check it out...

What shocks u changed to? Any significant improvements? Stock shocks sucks man. So bumpy. :sian:

Oh i had changed to Bitubo shocks... There are lots of improvement... For instance, i could adjusted the preload to my comfort... So that i could clear every corners smoothly... Stock shocks take a lot time to season n there is nothing much to play with... Sign.... Stock shocks for sale... haha...
