o.n.o. if seen on sale advert should mean "on nearest offer" :D

btw, be aware that different motortiams' OTR have different meanings or compositions. basically, OTR means all costs included for the bike to become legally owned by buyer and legally "roadworthy". but some OTR doesn't include IU (buy separately), claiming that it is not compulsory for a bike to have an IU. another common difference is in insurance coverage where some OTR include 3PFT while some gives only 3P o_O

Yes, be careful.

I kena this 'trick' before. OTR then when I wanted to collect the bike, the sales person do stun and say IU not included. . . must add another $155 plus GST for it :slapforehead: , saying that "road worthy wat? Who ask you go to CBD and thru ERP gate?"

KNNBCCB!!!

So becareful and ask them EVERYTHING before deal!!!

ok. Update on my suspension setting:

Front Fork (original spring):

Fork oil set at 8.5cm air measured from fork opening.

Fork Oil is Silkolene Pro RSF 10W (thinkness 47 cst@40C)

Rear setting at 3. Number 2 is too soft.

-------------------------------------------

Alternatively, can add another thicker washer to compress the fork spring further.

Or... just spend some money and get the Hyperpro springs.

think i know which motortiam u talking about :D

i also kenna before... on the phone tell me 1 price, go down to buy that time then +$165 for IU, then +$400 becoz not taking loan, then +$230 to have 3PFT...

then then then... sianzz liow liow :sian:

but frankly, adding all the + + together, still cheapest :sleepy:

but already 很不爽 ... so paid more elsewhere to feel better spending $$$ :cheeky:

hi oceanb70

insurance classes:

comprehensive

3PFT = 3rd party fire-n-theft (also known as 2nd party)

3P = 3rd party

if you take time to read back past pages, answers to many of your questions could be found :shades:

the below post could be useful info...

actually its mainly up to 2 things... dollars and sense :cheeky:

dollars = go for the cheapest deal coz you don't have to see their face after buying the bike if you don't want to. installments can send by post, servicing go look for better mechanics :p

sense = see which fella you want to let earn your $$$, pay a bit more for the service and at least feel shiok spending the $$$

but remember to find out all the relevant costs to arrive at the real price:

+ principal & interests (% x no. of years)

+ machine price

+ COE

+ registration

+ admin/agreement fees

+ IU (most shops include but BP charge separately)

+ GST

+ insurance

+ road tax (new bikes only 6 months)

+ penalties (e.g. early settlement, late payment, etc)

+ accessories (e.g. top box, electric horn, alarm, etc)

+ freebies (e.g. helmet, rain coat, bike cover, etc.)

+ any other costs

Yeah, I would suggest to put the hazard light at the centre consol, the headlight at the right handle just above ignition... (My guess is that the black piece of plastic can be taken out)

I'm gonna do it next month for the headlight. :cheeky:

If the switch is waterproof better to put it outside. I saw one SW600 in the USA with a series of similar switches & small stereo amp/equaliser fixed on top the left pocket cover with a set of speakers, one on each left & right cover. When i asked the owner he said all waterproof. He had used not waterproof before and short circuit the whole wiring system burnt after contact with rain.

the black plastic covers over the handlebar can be taken out. in fact, someone suggested to mount the switches directly onto it and run wires inside.

hmmm... think it will look nice but gotta cut holes leh :pity:

my intention is to fill up the whole "black box" with silicone after soldering the wires to the "legs" :D but will still prefer to fit inside glove compartments coz the switch top is not waterproof :o

I used this for my on/off switch.... small and highly "hidable"

hahahah

I saw water proof switch @ Chong Aik though.. but need to mount on handlebar one....:D

See who have lobang in marine industry. Getting switch from marine side is confirm highest IP rating. Meaning.... water and dust proof.

Hi scoobydoo.

For hazard light switch, I think put outside will be better because easy access in case of emergency (eg, while riding on road suddenly bike got problem like belt burst etc. than can quickly turn on hazard light switch)

Why not under the dashboard fairing the location just above the handbrake area?

Its hidden so that your console still looks neat but also still located outside. And also still protected from rain, although not fully.

Just my suggestion

i already have a hazard light switch just next to the horn, but can only on when ignition is on :D

thinking of a hazard light bypassing ignition so that still can use without ignition on, but must be locked away from itchy hands :cheeky:

If u r lookin for brand new bike, suggest u go to BP. Ah Swee quoted me $11.8k not inclusive of IU. Maybe insurance might hv to top up depending on ur age. Also Loois' quoted me $12.8K OTR. Oso, there's a 2nd hand bike at Looi's, saw it juz now. FBA plate blue color in good condition, was quoted $9.2K OTR. Bike consider in good condition, but outta my budget...o_O

Happy searching bro! :cheeky:
