Hey, I had a car tire on my Valk, loved it. with 7,000 miles on it it still looked new. cost only $68, too. If you go to a valk rally, most all of the bikes will have one. high mileage, good traction and will handle th twisties.

Darkside on the burgman, WOW! Never thought of it for the burgman. but it is an option.

I did an experiment on the valk before changing it. My exit off the interstate would allow me to go about 45MPH (hard hard right 270 degree turn, uphill) with the oem tire. took me about a month to get used to the car tire and I could still take it at 45. The only thing you will really notice is in the parking lot, hard to make sharp slow turns. had to force it up on the edge of the tire. two up no problem. but it did almost stand up on its own at the stoplights.... hahaha

a tire at half the price and double plus the mileage. a car tire might be the way to go on the burgman. had to mount it myself, no one would in town. good thinking and an idea to consider again

Its been a couple hundred miles since my change to the Potenza. Read my "Darkside Experiences" thread for more detail.

I'm heading to Alaska on the Burg on June 1st. I converted to have a tire that would make the whole trip and, hopefully, survive road hazards better. That may be wishful thinking but I think it will do both.

Aside from occasional small, vague steering inputs and a self imposed moratorium on aggressive cornering I think it was a good decision. Gas mileage is up a little, speedometer error is down to 3% and the tire runs much cooler. The tread is much more substantial and the tire gives a softer ride. IMO it will be better for long days in the saddle and on roads under maintenance. I've ridden it through some heavy downpours and even in standing water. It shows no tendency to hydroplane at the speeds I ride.

I'm searching for the right pressure to run. 36 is too low for my seat-of-pants feel. 43 seems to put the tire on a crown and it wanders a bit. A wee little bit but I can feel it. I'm going with 40 psi.

you may wanna check with SW9000... think he still got IUH24 to let go at a good price :thumb:

see bigcow's post on brake pads below... popular brands are EBC, Bremo, etc, some shops carry their own brands (e.g. motoworld)

For Braking brake pads, there're different materials for every model of brake pads. For example, the SM1 also know as semi metallic pads have tiny pieces of metal bits. This allow instant braking power. But it eats the disc, heat up very fast and wear fast also. There're also other different materials like the CM33 & the CM55 which the other big bikes are using. This 2 models, Dun wear the disc or pads tat fast & dun heat up tat fast, but more pricey.

1. Rosa Passadena

2. Rainbow Hotel

3. Hotel Chua Gin

* Parking, comfort, noise, etc...

And also, anyone tried booking on-line via:

1. Malaysiabudgethotel.com

2. Allmalaysia.net/Tourismtech.net

* Reliable?

Thanks.

try the New Hotel Titiwangsa or the Tudor Inn. both of these hotels located in Brinchang.

Rosa Passadena a bit on the high side and Chua Gin not very nice. parking problem also.

does your engine really need viagra?

he said no...

That's cool, but I would say just leave those additives out of the engine, why waste money on them and bother. Just replace what needs to be replaced and be done with it. Oil changes along with oil flush, 5w-30 dino/synthetic and the car wil be fine. I got 34 mpg city, and I don't baby it.

As for fuel system, I just used Redline Fuel System cleaner when the car sat for 2 years, and just dumped the whole bottle into a full tank. That's the only thing I would dump. Car runs great.

he said yes...

What I noticed in my Sentra is that my fuel pump, which prior to FP60 would whine loudly for about 10-15 seconds after a 75 mile road trip became silent. Also, the injector problems of needing to replace injectors or rough idle were eliminated. Actually, the idle became very steady after long term use. At first, it was not as smooth. Also, using all these products gained the best highway economy ever. On a trip to my parents I usually would get 33 miles per gallon, and I was able to get 35 miles per gallon after using everything.

i think...

young engines don't need viagra to perform... later engine gets "addicted" then chum liow
