Yeah. Paithorn and me back safe and sound.

Never rain during ride there.

Never rain during 2 days of fun over at Penang Island.

Super longwinded drizzle from Tapah to GP.

Going

Travelling Speed 120-130km/h.

Traffic jam from Rawang onwards all the way to Penang. Everyone seems to be going to that island. Lucky on bikes. If driving...hor hor hor.

During

Walked ard town. Wonderful body massage.

Watch soccer till 3.30am. Drank beer till blur blur.

2nd day took a ride round the island. Very nice twisties in the countryside but a bit dangerous... like the Tapah road to CH.

Met 2 girls want blunjar us kopi but I didn't hear them and Paithorn also didn't remind me. Alamak, wasted chance... to get a local guide lah. Don't think dirty.

Talked to Encik Pat and group at Kek Lok Si (temple). They also exploring Penang like us... but their bikes are much much bigger.

Coming back

Wahsey, so many accidents along the way due to rain. Bike also kana affected by the jam. Lucky SW still nimble enough to squeeze through.

Well, next trip Hatyai anyone?

u can always RTB earlier about 1+pm coz the group should be coming back later than that... provided u don't get lost along the way. but frankly, not very advisable if you are not familiar with the ways inside... risk being late for work :cheeky:

I got my pair of tyres at a more expensive rate at one of the big 4.

And yes, Diablo Scooter tyres are radical.

Oh... you're the lone Burgman with them.

Nice to see many SG bikers there. ** 1 GoldWing was there too.

I thought they were travelling at a 'slow' 130km/h? They lied huh?

The SW you saw yesterday was not 1 of us. We cleared custom at abt 6pm.

Nice bike you have.... we were talking among ourselves do you have enuf luggage space as we did not see a top box fitted on your B-King. And you have a pillion right?

Posted
Should be a Euro. You can check if you got the overtaking mode button at the left handle bar, if yes it is a JDM.

Is there an overtaking switch? I am riding a JDM and it does not have one....

Posted
if log card state FJS400d, will it definitely be a euro version? or might be a japan model also?

My JDM SW states FJS600D on my log card

Posted

I had an opportunity in this Penang trip to try bro SW9000's Euro and made some observations.

1. There is no difference in the location of the main stand. Both JDM and Euro are same position. Neither are there difference in getting the bike on and off the main stand

2. Euro model has green signal lights on the cockpit but JDM is orange.

3. JDM has factory Hazard lights, Euro does not.

Power wise, can't compare as 1 is 600cc while the other is a 400cc.

Saw that n another lone harley at the hotel we stayed.

The avg speed shld b 150+-5.

That means u guys managed to avoid the heavy jam that was caused by 3 minor accidents along NSHW after Ayer Keroh. Not to mention the crazy queue for fuel at Pagoh Esso....

haha. We rode actually.

At Kek Lok Si we parked at the busy market below and blur blur walked all the way up to the temple. Anyway, took the opportunity to explore the market scene and do some morning leg exercises.

As for the Thai Temple, we parked just across the street.
