Let me confirm my own timing then I will officially organise a ride here....

Interest check : Anyone interested in a Christmas Day ride to Malacca?

 

Rough programme as follow, can be altered to pls all

0830H : RV GP Petronas

0845H : Move off - Travel speed 120kmh to 140kmh.

1030H : Gather everyone at Ayer Keroh + toilet break

1040H : Move off together to Malacca town

1130H : Either chicken rice restuarant(Yucks!) or KFC/Pizza Hut etc for lunch

1230-1400H : OTOT shopping or kopi and SW TCSS

1415H : Chendol break, continue TCSS

1500H : Leave Malacca together, via trunk road(Anyone with GPS?)

1800H : Arrive Kulai for Mongolian Pork Ribs and makan (Budget RM$25/pax)

1930H : GP wash bike or RTB

if going kulai, then NSE could be more convenient coz still need to cut back into NSE if go via trunk route; i.e. Malacca - AMJ - Melacca 5 - Muar - Pontian - JB96 - NSE - Kulai exit - Kulai

 

suggest we allocate the "logistics" to each participating bike so that we can pool resources instead of everyone bring; e.g. 1st aid kit, tire repair or worm kit, spare batt, walkies, map/gps, tow rope, etc.

based on the map, we can still avoid NSE if we ride from Melaka down along the west coast till Batu Pahat, then cut thru ranges eastbound to Ayer Hitam, then trunk road again southbound to Kulai via Simpang Renggam and Bt Batu

but this route will take much longer as its safer to ride slow along trunks... never know when a doggy or cowy gonna dash out and potholes that could out wing flying

I think so too... well, we postpone it ....no worries. I will drive to Desaru fruit farm with my family instead that day...

heh heh, i finally fitted a "voltmeter" to my scoob... only that it is inside the underseat boot. just have to cut away the 2 probes and connect wires permanently to the batt, switch on when need a reading. test for charging? put on main stand n rev to 4k rpm can liow (mech say more accurate when engine is hot)

 

http://www.fabian.com.mt/tnm/gifs/UT20B.jpg bought at a shop in SLT basment for only $12, this pocket sized (about a pack of cigarette) Uni-Trend UT-20B is probably more accurate than those bike voltmeters that costs many times more. this model is cheap becoz it has lower specs, takes up to max of 300V while the better ones can take 500V. but who cares when we're interested in only there's an even smaller model UT-10A (about size of hp) with auto ranging but is more costly.

Hmm.... can't make it for X'mas period but MIGHT be able for this. Actually Sat (3 Jan) also got unit Family Day. Hope Bor don't nag nag.

Anyway, as long as RSM using his KDX... can be sure we won't be last liao. Unless they go off road. haha.
