Hey guys on HONDA scooters especially the SWs stick to Bridgestone tyres (Made in Japan). Dont even think of anything else !! 9 years on scooters and 36 on motor bikes up to 1300cc has taught me a lot of things. In any case the japs are perhaps the only tyre makers that have design engineers who actually ride motorbikes everyday in all sorts of weather conditions. On my first SW i went through 6 rear & 4 front - each time i was forced to use anything else but Bridgestone i had several nasty scares. Think of it !!! the current World Champion MotoGp made it on Bridgestone. Even Rossi would admit that the tyre was rider orientated.

why suddenly a lot of peepz looking for swings???? interesting sia

Yup! true lots of people looking for this beauty! Cause i'm also one of them looking for it, after doing some looking and asking what i've understand is almost everyone who gets the silverwing will ride it for a long long time.

They would only sell it off most of the time because they are planning to upgrade to a 4-wheeler.

But anyway i will be having my class2A TP test tmr morning and i've actually done something due to high demand of this beauty i've booked a silverwing le. Hopefully nothing crops up, so i can officially be the owner of this 2-wheel Road-Beauty:angel:

Good Luck! for those who are still in search for this scoot !:thumb:

how u guys prevent cats from sleeping on ur bike?

i cover up, still can find them on my bike..

somemore, scratch my seat..

CAT FUR BUGGING YOU ? Just an old trick !!! Carry a plastic bottle of PEPPER - Not Black pepper but the really sneezy sarawak type - Sprinkle on yer seat before you cover your bike or just leave it ! Next day before you ride just use a clean wet cloth and wipe off before you sit. Repeat a few times and the cats remember your number !!!

Sorry memory fading fast - Just get the Original model Bridgestone tyres that currently come with the latest SW 400s. Check at Boon Siew showroom or any of the other Honda dealers that have SWs. Mileage and wet riding is better too !One more point to cut down on rear tyre wear is not to use those Giant two fullface helmet top boxes and/or dont put heavy items there. These add to the drag on the airflow coming off the back of the rider and the box then works as a SPOILER like those used in F1 cars. Use the small single helmet box if you really need a top box - otherwise junk it ! Your SW will handle a whole lot Better.

i dun mind having another box as spare. who wanna junk your box, let me know. after all junk means throw. means dun wan le. can get for free.

hmm..might sound logical.maybe at a high speed this logic applies but if traveling in spore highway (max legally speed @ 90km/h) does it still takes effect??

Why are people who ride motorcycles called bikers and people who ride bikes called cyclists?

I'm using a Givi Maxia 52L on mine. Handling wise at high speed, I didn't feel any difference whether with or without it, just a little lighter at the back and more weight towards the front.

I haven't tried Bridgestone Hoops on my SW, but I've used it on my previous scoot. Result was, dry condition, very good, wet condition, not at all... What I've understand from others is that the material of the tyres is very hard.

I don't blame people who doesn't show courtesy, they just didn't get taught on how to do so.

Yes that's what i read also that Hoops don't really have gd grip on wet surface. Is it true Bridgestone tyres only Hoops have sizes for our SW?

If so, then got to turn to other makes Dunlop? Met? Mich?

Well i had 3 sizes top box - 52L , 45L and the 24L and used to commute from my home just outside KL by the NS Highway & Klang Valley Expressway - 80 Km to my office in Klang and back again each day. The best fuel mileage / balance / feel / tyre wear came when i used the 24L. Was even able to maintain a higher cruising speed in rain / crosswinds. Eventually i settled for the 24L to remain on the bike, unless i was travelling back to Singapore at weekends when i settled for the 45L. The 52L ended up as storage for spare parts at home.

HOOP not so good i feel, dry weather very good, but wet weather, it sucks..mic, dunlop and prelli have SW size..

2 roads diverged into a wood, and I-I took the road less traveled and that makes all the difference!
