Last brand new piece I saw was in 2005 and that was about 4 yrs after piaggio sold them. Good luck, you'll need it.

wow so the last piece of DNA was made 9 years ago. isnt' that about end of its COE life? anyway i did a google search of Gilera DNA for Sale and i still see the orange DNA for sale ad (but it's sold of cos). it's on some "gumtree" website... somebody, anybody, please post here if u know of any channel to get a DNA... unless u want to keep it for yourself.. thanks a million

Bought on nov 06 @$2.8K ODR, complete overhaul of engine at i-motoring completion April 07, respray bike, change steel bladed brakeline, new cooler tank(old one leaks), new coolent pump, fan installed.

hey man,

Anione knows why is it i have to half squeeze the petrol gun while topping up the bike(DNA) ? cuz mine only leaks when i full squeeze it while topping up the petrol, doesnt leak while parking though.

and apparently it leaks quite alot ...

 

 

Aniwae, how much does it cost to put a side stand??

and also, how much is the LCD tat indicates the speed,cuz it is quite blur, u have to squeeze ur eyes so tat u know wat speed u are at so its quite troublesome. or ani way tat i can have it serviced?

hi people, i recently bought a black 2002 DNA 180. the owner claimed to be a 2003 model but the log card states manufactured in 2002.

 

is there any difference between both?

 

are the parts readily available? i went to a motor shop along pasir panjang road as my battery went flat. the uncle who is the boss and mechanic told me this bike no parts. very hard to find.

 

is that true? lastly, i was asked to pay $85 for the battery. did i get chopped? sorry for asking so many questions, im new to DNA

 

recently the top speed has some problems. it wouldnt go above 85km/h, it was struggling. pls advise. whenever i refill the petrol, there was very strong petrol smell. is this common? also around 125km - 130km max already almost empty.

there is no difference between the bikes as i believe they only brought in one batch and stop at that.

 

parts are readily accessible as we are from the gilera family

our spares are the same as the runners/x9/x8

some are unique to the dna

no issues there and piaggio do keep stocks

 

try the shops at kallang area as they specialised in gilera scoots

not all shop knows to do gilera scoots

hence the remarks given by that shop

 

$85 for a battery i am not sure ex or not but i think i paid about $65 for mine

many brands many model leh.

 

the bike fuel hose lines harden and cracks after some time

it is best to replace those ,very cheap anyway

 

send in your bike for a servicing with regards to your top speed and fuel consumpition

everytime before you start your bike , do you observe any petrol like or smell under your bike? most like is leaking if everytime happen

As hitting 85km/h, it start to struggling. It could means your gear box need to be change

although i not riding dna.. but can see it sporting look but auto transmission... really unique.. if got bigger cc with similiar look will be better. Other than the GP 800.

Im really keen on getting the DNA 180. But I wanna noe more abt the bike. For eg, wanna noe abt the handling,maintainence, fuel consumption, good for newbie riders(like me!). And Im considered big. About 1.8m and weighing 78kg. Wld the bike fit me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thnks.

I am putting up an orange gilera with FY plate for sale. The bike is well maintained and looks good. A very reliable mode of transportation, which I use to go to work and back. Sad to depart with the bike, but won't be needing its services much more because I am getting a car. So instead of just collecting dust in the underground parking lot, why not let someone else enjoy it?...

 

Washed and wiped every week. Never parked under the sun or rain (always in shelter at home or office). Maintained regularly.
