there's one Arai ahop at Jalan Besar opposite regina. you ride pass regina the you will see one big Arai helmet.

My friend told me that that shop seeling some nice helmet with quite a low price, i never been there, you may ga there take a look.

Above helmets are made in china. BEWARE that not all helmet has SNELL, JIS and ASTM approved.

Only some of those selected were approved by Snell, JIS or ASTM.

NIKE also from China, still so many ppl buy! levis from indonesia, also so many ppl buy! its the quality lah... not so much made in whr lor... now technology so adv.. anywhr also got gd facilities esp developing countries and low cost places like china and vietnam!...

But bro... the company who created this MHR helmet is a china based company, it is not another subsidiary of euro country production base. Although I do like give china products a chance but, too much of disappointment on china products. We need convincing proves as in Snell, JIS or even ASTM approval.

If i'm not wrong, officially you will get a fine for that. But if the boys in white is good enough to let you walk away for an verbal warning only, than that's good. Be informed that it is compulsory to have the PSB sticker on your helmet in Singapore.

our helmet is not keeping at home for display, we wear it everyday, sun, rain, dust, etc....

I believe on the very first day of learning your 2B, instructors did told you before that any helmet in singapore required a PSB approved sticker to be sticked behind your helmet at all times.

 

 

As for the fine: S$500.00 was told by my friend, but personally i disagreed!

74. Drivers and pillion riders of motor cycles to wear protective helmets

(1) Every person who drives or is carried on a motor cycle shall wear securely on his head a protective helmet of a type approved by the Minister.

 

(2) No person shall import, sell or offer for sale or have in his possession for sale any protective helmet which is not of a type approved by the Minister.

(3) Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $200.

 

(4) Any person who contravenes subsection (2) ...

 

So, it doesn't say that u need to have the sticker on, so long as u can prove that its approved!!!

 

The best way is to have the sticker on, but I think u can also take down the model of your helmet, then send to psb to verify...

Constantly, no report or complain will be submitted to the appropriate authority. What I can say that those mototiam who are distributing these helmets are having big profitssss which is not approved by our authority. Believe me, its dangerous and not worth risking your head using unapproved helmets.

ya! precisely... if u suai suai kenna accident, wanna claim PERSONAL insurance, they investigate that your helmet not approved, then jia lat!
