i remember one of the instructors telling us can only wear those with psb sticker. however, i also see many others wearing helmets with no psb sticker.

in any case, i will be wearing my gear (including FF) when going for class 2a :)

1. How many times you guys took Lesson 7 before passing? Hard?

2. When is the TP dates before 15 Dec? When is the next TP?

3. Is it if pass L7, sure can take the next TP?

I always go on holiday, should have passed my TP 2-3 months ago. Now more than 1 month never ride, hope can pass my L7 on 1st attempt. All my kakis I think got their lic 1-2 months ago.

-once. lesson 7 isn't difficult if you are well prepared.

2. When is the TP dates before 15 Dec? When is the next TP?

-best to check the website.

3. Is it if pass L7, sure can take the next TP?

-no. if you pass, you gotta go book for the next available slot. might be long time to wait.

Go and do a few RR and CR before your lesson 7 just to regain the confidence on all the steps. that will make a lot of difference!

it does not matter if others look at you or even call you a weirdo, it's about gearing up for a fall and not for the ride, i ever witness a friend who had a minor fall while riding, it's his gear that save him alot of pain. you name it, "bak kwa" bruises or even fractures. that incident make me decide it's time to invest in some decent riding gear. research has proven over and over again that a FF helmet offers so much protection over a open-face helmet.

when i was a trainee at ssdc for my class 2b, not once the instructors conducted a check on the helmets to make sure they are PSB approved. however im a little concerned that instructors or testers will be harsher on those who gear up like a "racer", this is a hearsay i heard, dunno how true it is...

@ahcaibiker: i really don't think they look at people that way. people who gear up will always invite some looks and comments. at the end of the day, i know those comments stem from envy and curiosity rather than ridicule. after all, who wants to fall without gear on, right? i've seen some people in ssdc wearing full gear and i remember wanting to ask them where they got their stuff from :) go for it man!

if there's no concern in people looking at you , then go ahead, but it can be a distraction for some

I just saw someone wearing a FF helmet during practical just now! It isn't that bad, he's not getting much attention because everyone is busy doing their own things. haha.

it depends on your progress, if you can clear every lesson in 1 or 2 attempts, it'll be pretty fast and if you have the time to go for lesson at least twice a week.

im wondering for those who clear their lesson 7 in late jan or early feb, then get tp date in march or later which by then SSDC will have moved to woodlands, then how issit gonna be for this batch of trainees? the test route everything will be different, looks like a loogi situation for this batch of students... how is SSDC gonna help this batch of students? give them free route familiarisation lessons? or CR and RR to be conducted at the new woodlands driving centre? Is like even if they go for CR or RR at the current location, its not gonna help much if the TP is gonna be conducted at woodlands...

your biggest hurdle is to get your RTT & PDL. that's where I waited a month. lessons go by really quickly...you can complete all within 1-2 tries if you pay attention to details. next wait is Road lesson (night & day) and then TP test. if you chiong should be fast. but go get your RTT and PDL now so you don't have to waste a month later.
