SSDC - Anyone Taking 2B There?

After reading 776 pages of info, i think im ready to enrol for my first 2b license. Always thought too old for this. (*no offence to anyone).

Anyone here same like me? Driving car for almost 10+ years, now suddenly wanna go take 2b license? The guts not as strong as last time.

 

BTW, hello sis and bros. New to this forum. First timer post.

i noticed that its hard to find a slot esp on weekends... is this normal?

 

And I was wondering.. The "public" helmets hanging around the rack... Do they rotate helmets for cleaning after each session or its always there?

i guess the slots availability is down due demand i think, usually class 2 and class 2A lesson is conducted by the same instructor, meaning the class will consists of class 2A and 2 trainees. maybe this results in fewer slots compared to class 2B lessons?

 

the mhr helmets you are talking about, they are just aired after everyuse, not cleaned. but to me they still smell. due to hygiene reasons i never used the public helmets before, been using my own one all along... even the elbow and knee guards, i bring my own set...

(Actually it's more like drive car until very sian. The petrol cost, looking for parking, saman... piang eh.)

Then you're no longer young and dangerous, and are less of a danger to yourself. And you have the benefit of road experience too. These will all help to reduce the risk factor. I was like you.

So youhad strong onjections from your mum too? How did you get around it? I told my mum I'm going to take Class 2B, she's not happy about it but I guess she figured she can't really stop me (I said that Class 3 should learn Class 2B too lol ) but she said I can't buy a bike

 

I understand her lah and maybe when I get my license I won't get one, but right now is 'banned' hahaha. I told her 'No guarantees', as in I might just buy a bike. I know she can't stop me but I also don't want her to be upset all the time.

I was driving a company car so no need to pay insurance and road tax. Even so the other charges are enough to kill me.

I did wear long sleeves when I was learning 2B. (old ssdc)

However I don't remember seeing everyone in long sleeves.

Many gals were wearing those arm socks thingy.

I wasn't sure where to get it so I wore my cardigan.

No requirement for ssdc to wear long sleeve coz of the stinky elbow guard knee guard.

 

In bbdc ur required to wear long sleeve.. but inexchange u get to skip wearing elbow guard knee guard except for 1st 3 pracs and ebrake prac =)

As long your T shirt got sleeve, can already. Now SSDC having promotion for SSDC students. For Class 2 / 2a trainees, if U introduce a friend to enrol, U will get a free circuit revision. For those interested U can information from the 2w counter.

I am thankful for the ellow and knee guard coz I flew off the bike during the pylon slalom once and I actually fell during the S course and disconnected my arm...
