Haha Yes for sure its cold man, wonder how me and my frenz pull through the 8 hrs lesson sia.

Lately I return to YCK, saw the old SSDC and its my first time seeing the circuit empty... kind of sad. Miss the bike, the pple, the canteen... and the course.

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm such a sucker for such things, especially since I live near to the old SSDC. Yesterday woke up late and had to take cab to the lessons, I was still telling the cabbie how great it would have been if SSDC was still in AMK loh.

I thought all the canteen operators got changed but I think the drinks stall didn't. The tea is still horrible, so if you miss the canteen, you can go back and drink the tea and enjoy the memories! Last week I got a tea with a oily spoon. Changed the tea for a soft drink but yesterday I was so freezing cold I had to have a hot drink. The tea really reminded me of the days I chiong Class 3. 1 sip and you REALLY wake up.

Congrats on passing. (:

Mine is on the 8th. Been almost a month since I last ride. Will be taking 2-3 CR on 6 July to ease any tension or rust that might be present. :dot:

Dear SSDC

You know, I love the school, and I love the instructors. I'm glad that you have moved to a new location (3 mins from my workplace) and you're taking in students for Class 4 and Class 5. I don't even mind sharing the circuit with them even if that means having to do extreme overtaking or even wait for them while they do their parking.

But today, I really have to say something about these vehicles.

This evening's 5.55pm class was an assessment. Now during assessment, most of the SSDC Class 3 cars were already out of the circuit, leaving a small, manageable number. The instructors also tend to wave us through rather than make us wait for their student to do their parking.

But there was this private instructor teaching Class 4/5 along the "main road" (where Class 2A/2 had to filter right to turn right to go to the narrow plank) whose student was happily taking her time to park her lorry, holding up the assessment.

I know, we are all students so let's be patient and share the course blah blah, but I really did not count on getting FIRST DEGREE BURNS on my thigh from the bike engine, from too much waiting.

Is there no etiquette that these Class 4/5 instructors have to observe, not just during assessment but during normal practice? Are there not enough parking lots for these students to practice away from the test routes?

I hope we won't have to deal with Class 4/5 students during the test date itself. Having to deal with Class 3 students is enough!!!

I'm 26, and each time I go and buy toto or alcohol, they always ask for my ID...

I wonder if it's the same guy that I approached at the information counter when I wanted to sign up a couple of weeks ago lol.

Edit: Ok, read in your later post that it was a lady.
