Cars may not have the pickup like scoot...but when comes to top speed we will struggle as cars dont experience twist throttle and wind i.e twisting throttle is more tiring than stepping pedal and car inside dosen experience wind like in scoot

My 2 stroke runner can out run alot of cars on pickup but no top speed la, not to mention we lose out in stability as well.

 

Also, demanding the right of way with kuku drivers is akin to suicide.

 

I rather let the nut pass then to lose my life

I agree with you..suicidal drivers just let them pass thru coz they dont care about us wan..

*sorry to say*..especially Big Luxury Cars Drivers and suprisingly not those in the sports car catagory like lambo or ferarri...

if you're thinking of going head-on and race with a car... better drop the idea. too dangerous.

Not going for head to head pick up comparison (just wanna know the overtaking capabilities of scooters), cause if car like sunny want to flooded his accelerator pedal (at traffic lights) at most same as my 150cc up to 80km/h only ha ha and yes that is stupiak and very dangerous. I get it sometimes, i just let them go cuz it tells you they are crazy enough to try other nonsense. But comes to overtaking at higher speed can forget it.

 

Yes, i think super 4 or some 2B bikes should be able to compare with sunny range of vehicles, but not scooters except for scooters above 500cc i guess. Just a 600cc sports bike can compare up to almost super car status already but not scooters. Maybe the designer thinks that if want scooter to meet sports bike performance mind as well get a sports bike ha ha and yet they come up with sports scooter than don't have comparable top speed like even the R6 (~260km/h) Wouldn't it be nice if your 400cc scooters can hit at least 180km/h to consider it satisfactory ya? Maybe the new 3-cylinder 750cc T-Max maybe able to break the mentality of scooter don't need top speed tradition? If it can reach even R6 top speed enough liao ha ha:D

 

It's not a question of should or not, making super powerful scooters. It's a question of can or not.

I still can remember when a helicopter jet engine was put onto a motocycle, and the guy said "Because We Can!" Muah ha ha ha

I'm using yuasa one but the model no on the battery due to wear n tear cant see properly

I had recently acquired a 2nd hand x8, however the bike does not comes with its owner and service manual. Wonder if any kind soul have a copy of both manual and willing to either let me copy or send me a pdf version.

 

I had searched online but not able to find anything.

Hi X8 riders,

 

I have a problem with my X8 while steering right. The handle seems to jammed and i had to used quite abit of force to ensure myself go thru the turn safely. Its quite dangerous when i do that as the bike will wobble. Anyone faces this problem can care to share here !

Hi all, WTS my August 2006 X8, last full service done at Wonderful Botak @ 45880km, now Meter reading at 48000km, Changed Engine mounting block too during that service. Very powerfull pick up. Am 2nd owner since April 2009. Selling due to thinking of upgrading to bigger bike. Asking $3600. SMS me @ 90615650 only cos seldom comes in. Thks

can, if there's jam. cannot if it's straight road, simple. 150-200 cc only. displacement ratio only so much, how to fight?

want to fight them, get a 300,500cc category scoot. seen an angmoh cheong with a 500cc before, dude went so fast we couldn't even smell his exhaust fume leftovers.

Scooter always get bully due to it like a mini bike compare to those super4 or even bigger bike..but if you really want a peace of mind on the road..tmax 500 will be your choice..and btw the new tmax is 530cc and not 750cc..cheers:)

My Kymco 300i feels like an average 1.6 saloon car in terms of acceleration around the 80km/h range. Didn't try with a car side by side with pickup from 80km/h but I would guess it's about the same. Judging from driving a rented 1.6 Nissan sunny it's about there. Super 4 would feel like a Subaru WRX I guess. Super4 maybe even faster due to higher rpm range. Then again Subaru have turbo to compensate the lower rpm with higher torque.

 

I wonder how the new T-Max is comparable to driving a...?

A Tmax if pull off at full bore, even a Goldwing 1800 have a hard time chasing.

an internally heavily modded wrx will kill us lo.. haha i tried it aldy.. even my s4 top speed 200 also cant chase him.. haha

nevertheless we are still 2wheel, less advantage compare to cars and we are prone to fall as well.

my majesty400 pick up might not be fast, but it will pull strongly from 80km/h to 120km/h! very good for overtaking cars at expressway speed.

Just drove a Nissan Pickup 2.6liter Diesel and found the acceleration and limitation as close to my Kymco Downtown 300i. So I can safely say from the initial pickup speed the rest on my scoot is comparable to a 2.6liter non turbo charge pickup. Ha ha my 300cc scooter only comparably to pick up. Must find a next scooter at least comparable to a non turbo 2.0liter car and in too speed too. I think no such scooter . Even T-max top around 180km/h cannot break the 240km/h barrier maybe SR800? But that super class scooter Liao not even a normal scooter like a normal 2.0liter car.

Yup. Diesel more torquey, so pick up is much faster than an equivalent petrol driven engine.

 

But two wheelers still tend to pull away faster than car lah with normal day condition (aka, not racing).
