Hey guys I'm new to the bike scene and I hope some of the lao jiao can teach me some stuffs.

1) Are 3 wheel bikes relatively safer than 2 wheel ones?

2) Is there a need to get a special license for the 3 wheel ones?

3) What is a reliable and good second hand bike retailer in singapore?

Thanks guys!

only in the sense that it has much less chance of skidding and falling. you are only less likely to skid and fall on slippery road only. consider that most serious/fatal bike injuries is from impact. that third wheel doesn lessen any impact injury.

2) Is there a need to get a special license for the 3 wheel ones?

no. assuming it is a tryke approved for local roads (such as the MP3 or Spyder), effectively the licence is based on engine capacity like other standard bike.

you want good, wont be cheap. you want cheap, wont be good.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

Its on capacity

Ive seen asp phoon changi(near eunos) did up a gilera as a trike.

If not , a bigger cc spyder at ubi industrial park. Not going to be cheap.

3 wheel bikes, think easier to find online through sgbikemart and such. but wont be cheap. piaggio mp3 125cc, 250cc, 500cc are the more mainstream 3 wheel bike. though from reviews, people say 3 wheels bike are front heavy and harder to steer to some extend and also get hot easily.

Dher, I went to ASPhoon to see the 3 wheels scoot. Its not Gilera trike but PGO 150cc 3wheels.made in Taiwan. When it came out in 2006 was sold as 6k with coe. ASS Phoon is asking 5k now. I nearly bought from a man last year for 2.5k and looked more beautiful than that at ASS Phoon
