Thanks for all the good wishes. Finally got our licenses and plates this morning. Beijing traffic is crazy and the highway is hazardous, thankfully good riders and excellent marshalls saw us through it safely Rained heavily most of the way from Beijing to first stopover, next days ride is shorter but on country roads, should be interesting.

 

Couldn't find my spare Vara stickers at the last minute so this will have to do for the moment.

Wat bike u saw actualli at Loois? Varadero onli comes in 125cc or 1000cc.. comes in carb versions and EFI versions.. there is no 650cc..

 

Pros and Cons? Maybe u break it down for us what u need to know about this machine...

 

Any one nod the FC for 650cc varadero? Is the bike good. Saw one at loois. Very tempted to buy. Any pro and cons of this bike?

 

Ya leh.... Vara no 650cc leh... Only 1k and 125 cc. Probably you were looking at either V Strom 650 or Transalp 700 or Versys ... Must look at the bike again properly.....

Yup, there's an ex TP Divvy 900, several different flavours of HD, a few GS & RT's, Fazers, a Goldie and an ST, 3 lady riders on ER6N, Heritage HD and a 1098!

 

Air pollution and haze is bad, but heading further south to Nanjing tmw and hopefully better weather. suffering cold after riding in the rain. Two breakdowns so far, both HD's, nothing show stopping.

 

Pics are not so easy on the move in strict formation but an official photographer will pass his shots to me at the trip end.

Bro, what is the tire size you using for your STX rear? My mec says most ppl using 160. original is 170 but the stock is rare and expensive...

TAA (Tabung Amal Adilfitri - Aidilfitri Charity Fund ) Ride

Date: 29/08/2010 ( Dateline is a week before event)

Venue start: Hougang Stadium

 

Deepavali Charity Ride

Date: 24/10/2010 (Dateline is a week before event)

Time: 2pm

Venue: TBD

 

Riders interested and taking part will be issued a certificate of participation, which will be handed by event GOH.

For Deepavali event, certificate of participation will be issued regardless if order for event shirt is placed.

Bro, what is the tire size you using for your STX rear? My mec says most ppl using 160. original is 170 but the stock is rare and expensive...

 

michelin road pilot 2, they have exact sizes for stx and recommended in their website. last changed in march this year cost me $440.00 for both. The other would be bridgestone bt021 . Not sure of the latest BT-023 , U have to check manufacturers websites for recommendation coz stx is a heavy bike.
