Frankly speaking,

 

FT officers are really bringing down the standards in safety. Be it officer or S/Cs... And not oni that, they aso bring down the "salary"

 

Really wish that MOM can properly pick Officers to be registered and not just any FT wif the certificate.

 

I'm not being racist or wateva, i do admit that there are SOME who can really perform.... But most of them really CMI...

 

some Bangles/Indiana Jones safety personnel r pure morons...i know of 1 Bangle lifting sup,the jap coy's pet who is sooo arrogant he has even fought with local supervisors over intruding into his office cubicle...imagine that! my personal opinion..never be too friendly with them

Companies must look carefully in future before they select their Safety professionals.

Seen quite a few.... As long as they have a little "rank".... They are always very cocky... Not all.... But most of them.... Have seen humble ones wif good knowledge too....

I think MOM still having a problem getting WSHO. As at September 2009, there're still less than 2,000 WSHO registered.

 

Believe many who have the qualification did not registere or did not renew.

We need to implement the risk control measures right?

 

The implementation is for existing risk control or additional risk control?

 

Need to come up with an action plan am i right?

 

How do i go about doing this?

Your question too vague.

 

All control measure measure must implement what. Don't care existing or additional.

 

Exisitng means the risk control you already do whenever you do the job. Additional means, anything more that you want to do, so must also do.

 

For action plan, up to you. But must act, means must implement.

 

Implementing is the easy part lah bro. In fact, all parts also easy. If have problem, can also ask me. How to start, where to start, what type of forms, what type of methods, etc, no problem. But don't ask me the whole RA, cos that one I will charge :cheeky:

i am looking btw $1.5k - $2k.. but certainly i would want to have experience to increase employability chances for myself. but i am wondering on where to go and get exp when noone is going to employ inexperienced personnel.

Anyway is the safety related degree from psb is good?

Yes, safety degree from psb the one that is from newcastle u-never-study also can use.

 

But longer time and cost more. I think 2 to 3 years and $22K.

 

SP & NP only pay $450 and about 6 months. For SC & PR.

from wad i recalled last time once i completed my SD in WSH in NP, our names are automatically inserted into the waiting lists once the course opens for intake..no further information on any criteria needed once u achieved the SD certification...hmmz..

 

This one who said? Automaticall insert into waiting list for which course? Graduate Cert in WSH? Then bro, I think you wrong. Cos during I taking SD in NP, we check and they said no, musdt put name in to be informed when course open. so a few of us put name in.

 

Then course open, I lucky get into the 4th run of GCWSH. Finishing next month. KNN, many assignment leh. In fact, all modules got assignment that must take go back and do one.

Too bad i got no Good O'level result for Speicalist Diploma .. Got a question: WPLN need Level 6 ?? If i obtain Level 6, This Level 6 i can use lifetime?? Got any expire date? Like 2yrs or etc??

 

No need good "O" level. Only need pass English & Maths. Dunno WPLN which level, too lazy to check for you.

 

I also got no diploma or degree but I also now WSHO and now taking GCWSH.

 

You have passion, you will know how to go about. Best you attend meeting, discuss, get ideas, etc.

But on mainland, i still think Bov*s has the best safety systems implemented in their company.... Anybody has lobang for bov*s??

 

Bov*s, which I think you mean Lend Lease, got quite good safety system but as they say, they still learning cos they start to have safety system, culture, etc, I think about 8 years ago. Exx*nM*bil even longer. They take I think more than 20 years to be where they are today.

 

What lobang? I have people I know ask me intro them, also some go interview mention they know me. But must be fair when they ask me whether I know the guy who mention me cos I just say how long or where I met the guy.

 

I also never intro cos this one a little bit difficult for me cos I dunno know the standard of the person so dare not. Sekali I intro but the person standard not good, how? Problem mah, right?

so far so gd.only at certain projects im able to cope..i was once at a project in downtown orchard for 6mths n the S/Cs from the jap coy were yaya papaya type.at first they were GEREK ppl but during the last mth of my tenure there, they started to show their true colours.n the worst part is the WSHo,who's from my coy and an Indian fella (Indian-born SG pr) was not helping me at all.i helped him alot but he backstabbed me.he was the bo-chap type but acted as if he cared.i thought we were supposed to complement each other but turns out it was not what i expected.n maybe,my office told me that i might be posted there again for a mth or so 'cos the WSHO is going on a holiday.WHAT A PREDICAMENT!!!!!!

 

Bro, so now you know. so now you WSHO already. So whatever you do, must understand the SC too and don't repeat same thing like what previous WSHO did to you.

Bro, I'm from NP SDWSH course.

 

What you need? Got different assignments leh. You cannot copy but can use for reference only which will help you very much in your assginments.

 

No need to buy lah. The most maybe you buy me good lunch or dinner.

I heard when they want renew licence, they must do one "bridging" course which is the Elective Module assignment. This one, good luck to them. LOL!

 

But this one, MOM still got some problem. For example, some lecturers are from the SOTC batch with 10 years experience. Good enough to teach SD course but not good enough to renew? So MOM still not final.
