Ducati Monster 400 vs S4 Spec3/Revo

Hi all,

 

can anyone provide some feedback on Ducati Monster 400?

does it still have newer bikes? somehow i see alot of "older" bikes around

 

and how does it fair up against the popular S4 Spec 3 or revo?

in terms of

Fuel consumption

Acceleration

Maintenance cost

Top speed

manufacture problem

 

Please advise! i am thinking of getting a new 2a bike and will be riding for at least 3 years!

the newer M4 I heard was 2005 model with EFI... that's the last production make.

in terms of number, Honda has a better spec in bhp & torque.

the honda wins in pretty much every aspect. except for acceleration.

 

s4 has higher top speed, cheaper maintaneance, better reliability.

 

this topic has been discussed before.

 

people who go for the monster, buy it for the feeling it gives and the image it portrays. sex on wheels. not acceleration, top speed, maintaineance etc.

 

i would love to go for the ducati, seriously. but budget issues....means i'm stuck with my ole phantom.
