Yo all 954 riders,

 

What's the difference between a parallel import and a normal one from Honda? Are the specifications the same? As 954 has been in the market for quite some time, parallel imports should be safe from problems? cos dun think 954 will be recalled by Honda anymore I guess?

 

Today went Bukit Merah, bumped into Andy & Ken..loved Andy's bike...but too bad no where selling except Southern..but sianzz, the bottom fairing all black one..think no longer original paintwork oredi..

 

After that I went to Mah Motor...they quote me 18.5k machine price...added COE, Road Tax, IU, administrative charges, GST, insurance...all total up to 21.5k...charging me 4%...is that the normal interest rate?

 

Need you guys to advise me if it's worth it...Most important, I need to know whether parallel import is reliable? Thanks guys..

the 1st recall was mainly on 02 1st few batch..

 

parrallel import bike is just that it'll will not be covered by boon siew.. dun think theres and diff in the spec..

 

the price by mah sound okie.. machine price before rr4 came out was around 19k-20k.. try excel moto.. that time they give me quite gd price too..

 

why not try e rr4.. jus 1k or 2k more only..

Wat's a RR4? Issit the new CBR1000? Mi loves the huge exhaust of a 954 leh...but dunno worth the price when 1000 is released....sigh...but should be ok to get a 954 right? Siting Position and everything is good right with no complaints right?

dry weight? Donno..

What Mah Motor quoted me is a yellow 954 which is the Euro Spec...whereas White one is German Spec with powercut....parallel imports are 2nd hands from other countries whereby they make it new before importing to Singapore?

Hi~ I'm riding a Boon Siew 929... Bought 2nd hand, but Boon Siew sticker still there...

 

Ermm, from what i "heard" lah, is that Boon Siew bikes when kenna recall, its F.O.C. But parallel will charge lor.

 

Next, if your's a Boon Siew bike, u will have your bike registered with a Honda Authentic Cert with Boon Siew, tough i never seen one before... hehe Not much of a use also i think... hee..

 

So conclusion is, no matter parallel import or boon siew, when u trade in/change bike next time, its still a 2nd hand bike, they won't judge your OMV (Open Market Value) whether anot your's a parallel or boon siew... So... get a parallel lor, its the same... not worth to get boon siew...

Parallel import = Not covered by Boon Siew agent. Any ulu bikeshops can import.

 

Boon Siew = Agent bikes. Imported by Honda's sole agent Boon Siew. Anything with Boon Siew imported bikes they will recognise.

dun think any powercut betwwen the two country model except the california type which comes with a o2 sensor

ya, no matter what, just make sure urs is not a california bike.

 

hmm, last time read on something like there's someone in the US suggest that all bikes in US, follow the california states specs for bikes.
