can some kind soul let me do a voltage test on his 929? i need to check what is the idling and charging voltage at 5,000rpm (with and without highbeam).

Think something in my 929's charging mechanism is malfunctioning.

It'll take about 5min and i'll buy kopi.

:giddy: must first establish what's wrong mah, else wallet damn pain! kek kek kek

already bought a new OEM battery ($140). Did some tests on the alternator coil, seems to be malfunctioning. suppossed to have NO continuity between the coil connector terminal and neutral ground (chassis), but I'm getting continuity... (sh*t man, to access the rectifier/alternator connectors requires draining and removing the tank... :giddy: )

so now basically need to get some benchmark readings before proceeding further.

From what u describe, it might be ur wiring.

if magnetic coil is damage(most of the time is chao tar liao), it should be not providing enough charging for u.

but since u got charging, although dun noe how much it is charging, but the continuity thing, might be that ur wiring go haywire and keeps charging ur rectifier that make it overwork? and thus damaging ur rectifier and battery?

above is my guessing, no actual proof.:goodluck:
