Side mirror mounting thread crossed

Need help fellow riders...

The mounting for the rear view mirrors are left hand thread normally right? Well my thread is crossed and most hardware stores dont carry left hand thread tap sets..So what do i do??dont like to ride without one side mirror...

You can try amazon. Probably need to fill it with JB weld first, then drill a pilot hole.

u sure urs is left-thread? cux left-hand thread only applies to most Yamahas.. if it is, i suggest u get this lar.

i tink better than repairing ur thread. duno hw strong it will be. dun want ur mirror to fly out in the future. nt that ex oso. less than $20 compared to the time n cost u take to buy the materials, the tap and redo the hole.

bro just a heads up..

 

across ah boy just directly behind the coffeeshop have one bolt/nut shop. ask for a heli-insert. does the same thing for less than A DOLLAR!

Oh ya hor...but heli insert no need to drill meh brother? or just screw it in and then screw the side mirror?

 

Btw, this morning start bike to go to work, on the way out of HDB car park , got one rover there eyeing me liao..dunno what on earth is he doing in hdb car park at 8am...good thing din tahan me or else havent get paid for work then kena pay for fine then really suay...
