I have been there last year Apr. But I can't really remember all the answer to ur Qs, But I try my best..

1. estimated one way trip mileage (u can check here)

2. intend to exit Tapah, so hw da rd like frm Tapah all the way up to CH

Once I exited Tapah, it is an ascending road all the way up. The map show 70km to reach to the town. It was a gradual slope, then a bit steeper with many blind corners.

3. anyone been there last year n don dont mind describe ur trip experience

Cool temperature, good place to relax ur mind.

4. Strawberry park hotel, hw secure is the parking

I think the people there are very accomodating to tourist. It is a tourist place anyway. Parking wise I think shud be secure.

5. Possible to go to Place of interest on bike

All the places are accesible by bikes.

6. Malaysia emergency contact no and any towing services

This one u can do a search, I think there is a thread about it here.

Places that must go are the tea plantation, strawberry farm(quite a few over there, just go to anyone of them), Gunung Brinchang(the summit), and those road side shops that sells sourvenirs.

Wat I can say is that you shud giv ur self ample time to look for ur hotel. The place can be confusing for 1st timers. Always ask when you are in doubt.

On ur way back to spore, u may wana try the Ipoh route down as this route has wider roads and gentle slope.

Dat is all I can remember as it was my 1st and only time there. Hope others can give u better n more accurate info.

Hi, I'll share with you some info.

1. SG to KL = 330km

KL to Ipoh = 220km

Ipoh to Cameron Highlands = Can't remember the distance, but from bottom to top, over 50km of twisties.

2. Don't exit @ Tapah, otherwise you'll miss one of the most beautiful twisties in the world. Go past Tapah towards Gopeng, after Gopeng, take the Simpang Pulai exit. From there, look for signs that point to Cameron Highland.

3. I have some pictures of the trip and some miscellaneous ramblings of the trip.

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forum/index....ic=9978&st=7830

and here

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forum/index....ic=9978&st=7890

4. Strawberry Park around RM200+. Do a google search, you should be able to find the price. It's very cold at night in Cameron. Bring something warm. Not sure if it's secure though.

5. Do a google search for Cameron Highlands, you'll find a lot of info. But if you intend to visit Boh Tea Plantation, ride carefully. Very dangerous and narrow roads.

Point 2 above is very important. All I can think of about the trip is the twisties and food.

If I were you, I would leave SG at 5am. If anything happens, you have the whole day to sort things out and people are awake to come to your aid.

I will be bringing some friends up there during CNY. I presume you're going around the same time.

Good luck on your trip.

Bro...i paid abt SGD$270 for 3 nites...both of us sharing da cost....book thru Asiatravel.com

u can try check cameronhighlands.com abt da area

Still calculating for da trip bt roughly expect abt RM400 - 600 for food/expenditure n petrol.

Emergency money i need to know hw much it wud cost for towing service from there to SG or at least KL.....this is a worst case scenario

No need to worry too much or over plan. Ppl there are quite frenly. Take a map, plan your route and go. If U get lost, its part of the fun.

Book your hotel in advance in Sg, Hotel Equatorial, Strawberry Park etc have online booking and u can pay via credit card online. Some of them have special tie-ups.

To me starting at midnight is too conservative, You can start around 4 or 5am and can make it in to CH Brinchang by ard 2pm - just in time to check into the Hotel.

Ride carefully from Tapah up the next 60km to the top as there are endless & blind corners. Fallen branches and leaves on the road makes it tricky. Sharp corners sometimes drops off suddenly due to erosion. But it adds to the excitement - just take it easy if its your first time up this route.

Here's a link for a real time glimpse of the place at the top. http://www.heritage.com.my/cctv/glimps2.htm

the old road up from tapah isn't really recommended, especially if you're going up with a pillion. it's not in good condition, has sand, potholes, leaves etc. and the lanes are narrower, meaning you can very easily corner wide. take the new road, it's nice, wide and scenic, though you'll have plenty of traffic because of the season.

Agree the old Tapah route is as described, but I kinda feel that this is the must use old route for a memorable ride. One of my mates went down in slow motion and later said he was wondering when the corner will end thus losing concentration and washing out. Ne had a great laugh!

You can use the newer route on the way down - but it presents a different danger set as the condition changes from fast to slow and good to bad suddenly, thus catching one off-guard. So ride safe and maturely.
