I understand that but singapore climate, plus raining and all, the rain will slip into the filter.

So anyone done any air box mod ? Care to share ?

Hi all,

Firstly according to KNN Air Filter user manual... it states that 'Service air filter every 100,000 miles or sooner in EXTREMELY dusty condition'. Well if u take 100,000 miles n convert to km. u can service the filter at 100,000 x 1.6 = 160,000 km. Thats virtually u can scrap ur bike liao but ur air filter still dun need to be service. And KNN air filter has been use on U.S Army HUMVEE military vehicles which are operating in desert condition so how dusty can s'pore be?

Btw u can purchase KNN Air Filter Servicing/Recharging kit from most of the motor shop at 30 bucks. Consist of cleaning chemical and spray on lub for the filter. Anyway do retain ur original stock filter so that u can temporary use in when u wash ur KNN air filter which takes a freaking 2 day under the sun to dry :(

Some people sayang their bike more and wants it to be in tip-top condition all the time so thats y they dun mind spending more mah...at the end of the day,if people want to wash their air filter or watever filter every 1000km its their money spent and the satisfaction they deserve...

im using piper cross now and can feel quite a difference from knn... seems like piper cross air intake increases tremendously when vtec opens compared to knn... juz tat the power increase is not tat much (maybe cuz i haven fix in dynojet) HAHA !!... i'll give more reviews on piper cross once i hve my dyno jet installed... anyway im using full sys... just fyi... juz my 1c of opinion:angel:
