Hi,

is there any good bike cover sell somewhere that can keep rain water seeping in thru the cover? It is also prefer not so thick so that it is flexible to be folded to keep in the SuperFour seat compartment?

I notice most bike cover still able to let rain water get into the cover ( i mean reasonably wet after rain fall.) Currently my bike cover cost abt $25.

Thanks

Have you tried Oxford Product Aquatex Bike Cover? I am using this and when folded, it is compact enough to go under any seat. You can get this from Hodaka Motoworld.

why not spray some waterproof spray? save money and won't have to worry the cover get stolen also..

That will work in June (Summer). In December, you muz spray it everyday which will exceed the cost of a new cover. hahahah

Hmmm maybe around 3 to 4 months. It's not cheap though.

I am using a GPR bike cover,no water seepage but its thick.Silver in Colour. Not that expensive and durability is there for sure.Works like a charm for me.

Some time you got to accidentally stretch the bike cover, cause it got caught onto your exhaust, pillion foot pegs or rider gear levers..

i'm also using the oxford, but it lasts me a year, not 3 or 4 months. and i park my bike at my workplace with no shelter, so the cover is exposed to hot sun and thunderstorms almost daily.

it is the thinnest and most compact cover i've used yet very strong, water and heat resistant. the bike does not get wet underneath, period. and there is a clip underneath to properly secure without the need for clothes pegs.

but i agree about the 'brittle' thing. after a year of constant exposure to sun and storm, when the material goes, it goes without warning. you will find yourself casually pulling the cover off the bike and suddenly "RRRRRRIIPPPP" a huge tear appears like its made of paper. this happened to me twice, but both times only after a year of usage. to put it context, i've used cheaper covers bought from generic bikeshops which are either thin and compact but not heat resistant and tears after less than a year, or strong and lasts as long as the oxford but significantly heavier and bulkier. so the $30+ oxford gives me the best of both worlds and i'm on my third piece now, buying a fourth soon.

tip: motoworld sells a second oxford cover with camouflage pattern which costs almost twice as much. i tried it once: it is stronger and longer lasting BUT noticeably thicker and heavier, and the grey urban camo pattern turns a disgusting shade of rusty brown after a couple of months under the sun (but i admit this is just a cosmetic issue).

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

Very appreciated for the long introduction on the product. CheerZ

Especially under sun everyday. So no matter which brand, it will degrade over time.

Ya understand. My priority now is to keep rain water off, as long as the, material last reasonably ok, i'm ok with it.

However about the bicycle type plastic cover? Use 2 covers - cheap heat proof motorcycle cover inside, cheap plastic cover bicycle outside. But should be troublesome though.

I'm using cheap Motofizz cover for over 1 year. Super dirty, but no burnt marks, no torns. No longer waterproof. I always cover immediately after a ride, but mostly in weekdays park out of the sun. I guess that's why it lasted over 1 year.
