Hmmm.. my fc is ard 29 to 33km/L since overhaul.

It was also ard 33 before overhaul..

Stats:

1. 10yr old bike

2. Owner 63-64 kg

3. 45L top box (normally only raincoat / swim gear / hp bat pack / papers)

4. Rarely pillion (twice a mth?)

5. Use shell 95 ron petrol

6. Just completed 1k run in since overhaul

7. Mainly city riding with rare expressways

8. P plate

9. Avg. Speed: 80 - 100km/hr. Rarely exceed 100

10. Sprocket and chain was changed during overhaul

Is this bad? The 29km/L was shocking though but perhaps due to city riding and traffic lights

yours was doing 33, may I know why you overhaul? what was done and what is the cost? Considering servicing mine.

I'm quite a noob here but ah koon call it top overhaul?

It's basically done due to wear and tear of the gearbox.

Total damage: $700

Location: Planet Motor

Replacements done:

1. Gear set

2. Pistons

3. Gear shaft

4. Sprocket

5. Chain

Ber, never touched my carb before so I have no idea. The engine does consume some engine oil, but not significantly. I can ride for 2500 km without having to top up or change. You guys can try playing with tire pressure, although I don't recommend it due to safety reasons. My rear is set at 260, front 200. Cheers

Just started playing with an app called fuel log (free from google play) and it's a handy tool. Just put in your mileage at each fill and the fuel, it can work out things like FC, average monthly cost, monthly/yearly mileage etc. just filled up again since getting it, did 32.4 km/l, mostly highway around 90 and town stop start. No box, but 77kg rider.
