Hi guys! I am new to bikes and I am planning to get a 2b license. I've a class 3 license already but got my eyes on sport bikes. I am looking everywhere for a yamahaR125 but I just couldn't find them in the Yamaha showroom? They said they don't sell this model 0.o?

I need advice on whether should I climb up to the class 2 license or just maintain at 2b? I would love to own a R6 but just to start off I got my eyes on the Yamaha R125 and R15 is just not the bike that I like in terms of aesthetic wise.

Could anyone please give some advice on how do you guys start off first? Thank you very much!

so what do you guys prefer? are there any bike that is sport looking like the R125? I dont really bother about the performance because if I am aiming to own a R6 then I will be climbing to class 2 license.

That R125 bike is needlessly expensive for a kup with a sportsbike fairing. For that price, you can buy 2 kups or 2nd hand R6.

Lol, buy 1 R125 can own 2 kup and 2nd hand R6? I would love to see it.

Maybe you should ask yourself which bike you prefer? Why ask we all when we are not even the one who is riding it. If you like R125 then go for it. 2nd hand ard 11k include insurance road tax everything.

Alright let me point out what's bugging me now. I did some window shopping for R125 and they told me that there's no new R125 and what's left is second hand. They don't prefer new bikers to get second hand bikes because what if it broke down and R125's spare parts is quite rare? maintenance and parts are expensive? These are all the factors that's bugging me whether or not to get a new one or second handed. If there's a new one , I will definitely head for it but the problem is are there still new one? Please clarify my doubts guys!

Hi quelfala, try looi's motor? Sure got new machine definitely, i saw 2 new machine over there, 50th anniversary version one. Spare parts is quite rare, but maintenance is damn cheap? If you gna upgrade to cls 2, why getting a 1st hand r125 oO?

Okay I guess it's my bad for not making things clear enough.

This is what I think, if I can get a R125 brand new , I can just stay with class 2b license because I just want a mode of transport and I just love the look of the R125. Why do I say moving onto class 2 is because if there's no new yamaha R125 then i will just move my way upto class 2 and get a new R6. I have no intention of getting bikes with 1000cc or so, I just want something like a R series of yamaha.

as simple as this,

New R125=2b

No new R125=moving to class 2 and grab a new R6

Beside from this, I would like to know the maintenance fees and can the parts come in handy? if R125 is such a hard to maintain bike then might as well just forget about it. I am new to bike so I need to get these things clear. I went to a bike shop and they quoted me a R15 for $7400 on the road excluding insurance(new bike). The price is okay but I just couldn't stand the look :p would think about it if there's a ver 2.0 but none.

Thank you guys and sorry for all the miss understanding :p

Quoted for truth. And quelfalfa the reason why most get a 2nd hand bike when they pass 2b is so if it ever drops their heart not so pain.

Nowsaday there's plenty of class 2b bikes to choose from in e market compared to 2 decades ago when i got my license... MBX, LC Baby, RD125, TZR 125, RG125, RXZ, RXK,RXS r some of e popular models among newbies during dat era... During that time, MITO 7 is e luxury of class 2b which i n my kakis can only envy... :)

Actually i think it depends on how much $ you have. If your $ is unlimited, just buy whatever you want. And I feel that you will want to move up to class 2 after riding for some time. If you only have enough $ for a r125, keep that $ and get something cheap, fast and fun. Like a kr. :p have you considered other sports bike yet?

Hmm...do you have any recommendation as for other sport bikes?
Only sportbikes I consider as sportbikes for 2B are 2strokes. The new breed of 4strokes which may have a sportbike outlook just

do not fit in that category. This is my personal opinion and I am not forcing anyone to see things the same way. Everyone have their own opinions.
