Hi all cruiser brothers,

Sorry to have been out of this forum for sooooooooo long. My PC was down and didnt have much time to really come and see what is happening. Looks like lots of new Star riders are out on the road. Great to hear that.

Well I guess its time for a Cruiser and Coffee session again soon. Let me try to plan one and we can meet up again soon. Hope weekends like Sat would work nicely for all. Do drop me a PM so that I can contact u thru SMS on time and place of the C&C meet up.

Cheers..

Sorry like to know top speed that dragstar can hit

with my dragstar 400 i usually cruise at 120-130 kph with backrider at full throttle.:) too bad its shaft driven so i can't play with final gearing unlike chain/sprocket types. very difficult to locate final drive of virago 535. its almost a bolt on/swap for final drive gear.

swapped rear tire from 170 to 180....wide rear tire possible for stock rim without rubbing on the shaft drive and swing arm. got some top speed because of larger rear tire diameter.

without wind drag, can hit 140 kph full throttle.

i'm a bit on the heavy side so its a bit difficult to reach 160kph, hehehe!!! but i just cruise, no need for speed actually. hehehe!!! wind draft is so much without windscreen.

my pipe is from webike japan, american druggers 2 in 1 pipe. initially it sounded like stock, so quiet. so i removed all baffles inside, now the sound is so deep. when i start the bike, it gives out a "chug-chug" idle. most of my co-bikers though it was a larger displacement bike. they were surprised to find out its only 400cc.

here is the online catalog...DragStar 400 click me

hi guys! i have a pair of long legs and i wish to install forward controls on my draggie. anyone has any suggestions how this can be done?

thanks!! =)

The expensive option can be found on http://www.cruisercustomizing.com by searching for Highway Hawk Forward controls.

The inexpensive option can be by hunting locally or if someone is selling those.

Generally, the forward controls are more popular on "Custom" bikes than "Classic".

Cheers
