Hello peeps, I am trying to change my tank to smaller one, I got a virago tank but cant fit in, coz the frame is a twin , so it's diffcult to get that 9" base-wide tank. Unless I got a flat base-tank and just lay on it, but then I got to loose the air box... Any suggestion?

hi guys... thought i put advert here first..... got a pair of givi e21 and givi top box (dun koe model).....plus brackets from seng kwang ...previously installed on a dragstar 1100..... pretty sure can fix on a dragstar classic 400..... anyone keen.....looking at $150. cost more than $500 previously....

I have just got my Yamah Dragstar 400 this weekend. Being 1st time riding a bigger cc cruiser, the comfort of a 400cc dragstar is certainly unparalleled. I'd like to enquire usually how hot is the engine of dragstar? I after a 10km ride in early afternoon, the crankcase and engine felt so much hotter than my previously Honda Phantom. Just wanna hear some info from you guys. thanks a lot.

its hot..... dun worry... i stop at lights... can feel the heat coming up between my legs.....

The bigger cc bikes meant to ride on open roads. In city with traffic lights engine will get hot but still being an air cooled bike - better than liquid cooled which get even hotter without wind hitting the radiator.

Pumped my XVS400 twice and start to get some fuel consumption figures:

 

1st pump : 8.98 L @ 232km => 25.8km /L

 

2nd pump : 8.67 L @ 225.3km = > 25.98km /L

 

I am quite easy on the throttle. 30% in City Traffic and 70% on expressway cruising @ 90km/h.
