Hi, I am planning to get legal exhaust pipes for my Dragstar which can produce at least 50 percent of HD exhaust. Any idea where I can get such pipes? Cheers

eBay or go to M'sia to fabricate the pipe. M'sia is cheaper, especially if you can speak Malay

Hi Bros of Dragstar, I was coming up with a project for my dragstar . Pls welcome me into the family .

Doing a lot of servicing DIY and can help out with basic qns if you have any . Riding the bike for 4/5 years now so experienced the many hiccups that the bike can give .

Cheers to the site and hope to meet you soon.

Doing everything DIY that I can now.. Judging by the way things are rite now , it is for the best..

Makes you stronger and less dependent on bike shops.

Encourage others to do likewise and help new riders identify fair deals online~ thus making direct seller to buyer purchases.

Its the only way we can push the motorcycle industry in Singapore forward.

Anyone did before? Dragstar bros.. 80,000km

Anyone did this before? Also known as top-overhaul?

I understand that the mechanic will dismantle everything and inspect the engine for wear and tear and replace parts that need replacement. Replace the gaskets and sealants and put everything back together, check for the piston offset that should be within allowance given by the owner's manual and put back the carburetors . Check them to be in tune . Fix back the tank and seats and ready to go.

Is that so?

- do they need to hang the engine? Or do they keep it on the bike only removing the top of the engine.

- is there any cleaning to be done on the insides of the engine? removing of water or fluids , carbon in the interior.

- anything I might have missed?

Thanks a lot.

So far haven't done it before so no experience. Asking around first.

How about going to the scrapyard or getting one from exporters if they are selling up parts.

You can easily find shadow? exporters at Ubi the corner shop . Ask them if they would like to chop up a bike and sell parts for scrap.

But dragstar... a bit harder to find . Maybe need one brother to scrap and sell or buang really bad and scrap. Touch wood.

Would like to seek bros advice on purchase of a Renewed COE Dragstar 400 Classic.

How is the durability of the bike? Any issues with the driveshaft or any thing else I should look out for? Seriously tinking of joining the Dragstar family of riders!

Thanks much for comments... :p

DS 400 classic is still consider worthy to renew COE if it stay below 2.4k(COE price).

The driveshaft shall last quite some mil if it not abused and easy to maintain. (It still cost a bomb to replace it).

Hi to all Bros in the house,

Gonna be a dragstar rider soon. Kindly can advice on where to purchase crusier or chopper styled helmets at a resonable price?

You can try EBay. Type bobber helmet/retro helmet/classic helmet.
