hmm is there any difference btwn the drag classic and custom apart from the outlook, age and price?

 

from what i noticed, the custom has a deeper sound.. :confused:

 

the classic looks heavier..

 

apart from that, any other differences?

 

planning to trade in my bike for a dragstar custom at my mech.. FP plate.. 3k without subtracting the cost of my bike.. worth bo? :bounce:

Only differences is in weight, front rim/tyre size and fenders design.

 

I think it is quite worth it for the trade in but i would suggest you give a detail check on the bike before committing.

found the following article for sharing.

This article compare 1100cc - 1200cc cruisers. This article do a good comparison and review for 4 bikes, Harley Sportster, Yamaha V-Star, Shadow AERO and Shadow SABRE.

 

Comparison and Review

 

Some points which highlighted

HARLEY-DAVIDSON SPORTSTER 1200 CUSTON

High-Points: Strong, easily controlled acceleration from a stop, distinctive appearance, exceptional aftermarket support, solid handling.

Low Points: Strong vibration, firm saddle and suspension.

 

HONDA SHADOW AERO

High Points Elegant, nostalgic style; roomy; understated, ear-pleasing sound.

Low Points: Slightly rubbery steering feel, unimpressive front brake.

 

HONDA SHADOW SABRE

High Points: Strong acceleration, great in-town manners.

Low Points: Dull-looking footpegs, dull-sounding exhaust note, hard saddle.

 

YAMAHA V-STAR 1100 CLASSIC

High Points: Very comfortable, Road Star looks on a budget, strong brakes, good suspension.

Low Points: Limited cornering clearance, speedometer out of line of sight.

I think you guys might want to take note that the above comparison is of 2000 and some of the model tested is not really the same after 2002 due to some minor specs differences.
