Hahaha.... That's Merv's bike. If u read the descriptions u'll see why the price tag. Like me, the only reason I'll sell something I really really love is a price I cannot reject.

 

Base on the most recent price of a 1999 W650 transaction and Merv's bike. It's still a little pricier but don't forget this babe COE is till 2023 and all the customed work done.

Recently replaced clutch, custom cafe racer paint, battery, mirrors, bar ends, grips, speedo cable, Ace handlebars – (no problem at last 3 inspections)

Thats the BBDC bike i rode for my class 2. Good old days. Niwei, no offense but it's just a nighthawk 750. Not a super 4 and definitely not a cb750 Four.

Had this almost a year liao...

And my record is bikes I own usually go before it reaches 2 yrs max. See which of my bikes sell first... Then maybe will cancel the remaining sales. Hahaha...

 

Not an urgent sale anyway. Bike runs superbly and I'm still enjoying it. Nothing much left to customize and I don't wana do anything to the engine since it's running strong.

After 6 months, finally completed my custom seat for CB400 PB1.

I wanted a "flat" seat profile for the CB400, without frame cutting. It turn out to be quite difficult to achieve, and I had to DIY a fiberglass mould, after which send to Eugene for upholstery.

 

Looking at the final result, I feel my fiberglass seat mould end up is too flat and boxy. Should have made it less "rectangular" and a bit more curvy...... Especially the rear part of it... Never mind, I'll fix up the rest of the bike first. Also, I realise the S4 tank is very "modern" and aggressive... Unlike the classic basic shapes of older bikes.

 

Next step: Paint job + proper rear fender!

Good effort. Agree that the rear portion could be better if its curved, but it's definitely a good start from the stock seats.

 

You might wana replace the triangular side panels to those oval side plates to achieve a cafe racer look. Other areas to look at are the stock meter cluster and the mirrors. Swap of handlebar will also make the bike look different.

When will the COE expire? I reckon u can sell the custom parts to other intruder owners and those that are universal to other bobber owners. At least u can recuperate some cash back and others can also enjoy the custom parts. When the dreadful day comes, just go to those bike shops that perhaps will have good use for the other mechanic parts and sell to them the entire bike.

Major newbie here, been lurking for quite sometime.. Any ideas if a subframe is to be cut and removed to make way for a flat seat, will it pass inspection? Just the subframe. Bike is Honda CM125. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

no, inspection will not pass if any body frame is cut or remove...

NOPE. It'll even most probably be reported to LTA and the bike compounded and u'll have to deregister the bike as it'll be deem unsuitable for SG road use.

Domi currently at Bikewerk doing servicing, tune up and touch ups.

 

While the bikes are up for sale, necessary maintenance and upkeep will continue. Hope this gives prospective buyers a peace of mind that they'll be getting a well kept bike. Cheers.
