Hi bikers, I just changed a new battery on 31/3. But my bike couldn't start last nite cos battery too weak. What could be the problem?

so many possible combination.

 

1) bike age

2) riding habit ( short distance)

3) battery gel type/maintanance free)

4) battery connection loose

5) rectifier

6) magneto coil

 

etc etc etc

 

Go to a decent shop ask them help u check....

Agree bro... Normally a battery life span is 2 yrs...

Bike is about 4.5 years old. Avg 20km per trip. Just the normal Yuasa battery. I already send the bike to bike shop for checking. Thanks for the inputs guys.

Problem solved. I send my battery for charging on the 17/4, everything was back to normal until yesterday. Send the bike to bike shop to do a check, found out that both magnetic coil & rectifier was down. Got both items replaced and recharged the battery. Spend some money to buy peace, afterall it's about time since it's a 4.5 years old bike. Btw, I'm riding a DRZ-SM.

it must cost you a bomb to change the coil + rectifier.

I'm poorer by $5xx, but at least it can lasts me some time.

U could extend yr battery lifespan by maintainance charging & recondition her regularly..... my Fouco Yuasa battery is almost 1year 3months now.... still going strong ....

All the batteries I've used so far usually last about 2 years.
