Hey guys..i need your help here. I was riding my bike when suddenly my headlights and the indicators were not working. My friend told me it was because my battery died. So I decided to wait for a little while and then started my bike again. There were no lights and I had to push start my bike. So could it really have been the battery or are there other causes?

Thanks alot and I really appreciate it.

Yes, can be the battery. Check the battery first. Then check the rectifier/magnetic coil. After you push start, you bike can start? Can all the lights still work? If the cannot, high chance they all blew due to the faulty battery.

This happened to me twice. All my bulbs blew.

No. Not likely battery died.

You can actually remove the battery and keep at home and still push start the bike with all the lights and indicators working.

More likely it's a short circuit that fried everything. If that's the case the wire in the fuse will be broken into 2.

Or it could be that the wire is loose. If wire loose, then have to trouble shoot wire by wire.

Not all bikes can start without the battery.

So it should be the battery then. I have a question though. Before this incident happened..i had to push start my bike most of the time. So I think I was riding it when the battery was alr weak. Is that a wrong thing to do? How does that affect the bike?

Haha. Sounds like my magnetic coil issue on my YBR. Its an electrical problems. Battery, rectifier, CDI, magnetic coil. One of these 4 most likely.

What bike you riding anyway?

Can someone removed this thread from Bike Specs and reviews? TS didn't even mention what bike he's riding. Please post at the right place.
