Crashbars for NC7X is in redi ah? Steady la. M-Technik here i come. Haha.

As for my trip, i'm a slow n steady rider (used to ride an Africa Twin), so top speed isnt an issue. Normally cruising ard 150 (managed to hit 185 gotta hide behind windshield redi). Anyways i'm 184cm tall. :)

how do u hit 185? i'm having problem trying to even reach 180, isit due to the way i accelerate?

Would any NC700 riders care to comment on how this bike compares with the Kawasaki Versys? Both parallel twins but the versys is more expensive(22k otr i think) and comes with abs. Honestly i prefer the look of the kawasaki cause the honda looks kinda tame and boring. But maybe they are not exactly comparable bikes?

its like a high pitch ringing screeching sound of metal only heard at higher speeds... will be alot more obvious at speed above 14x... pretty worried about it, hope its not from the engine

if ur looking for a commuter/daily bike which is easy and cheap and more compartments go for the nc, something more power or for adventuring go for versys... looking at the ncx in picture and real life is kinda different, in real life i feel the ncx looks pretty good after accessorized

don't really think its from engine. at 140km/hr, it has to be a loud engine sound in order for rider to hear it. does it happen everytime you pass the 140km/hr mark? hope its just wind turbulence etc..

its a metal sound, happens in speed of ard 90 as well, but not as constant and obvious as higher speed

As mentioned above by kmjoe, the NC7X is more of a easy riding commuter which has touring capabilities. The storage space at the "not-tank" is really useful for keeping stuffs like raincoat, lock, chain lube n bike documents. Especially if u have no intention of adding top case or panniers. The long travel suspension gives some degree of comfort when going anywhere else other than tarmac but not hardcore cos this bike is not marketed as an adventure bike anyways. The fuel consumption is another plus point. Been getting 28km/l constantly for the past 2 months of riding (30highway/70street). Dont be turned off by the low rpm redline. Cruising at 100kmh is only ard 3k rpm at 6th gear. I've not utilised anything more than 4.5k rpm in singapore usage. Hope that helps. :)
