arai for me when i want to ride sane, coz it fits my head.

shoei really squeezes out my brain! and i ended up riding without a brain. or rather i need to get to the destination fast so that i could take out the shoei.

Personally prefer ARAI. But I don't think you can go wrong with either.

ARAI - Looks & comfort :thumb:

SHOEI - Build quality :thumb:

End of the day go for the one that suits your head. I did & mine's an ARAI RX7 RR4.

It boils down to personal preference.Am personally using SHOEI J-Force 2 and it works great for me.Light, comfy and I'm able to hit speeds of 251km/h in this helmet.Tried and tested but of course it's not an everyday event. So far I did it 8 times but I've stopped since. The visors are strong but then again if there's any flying object at speeds >100km/h,it's enough to crack/smash your visor even if it's a Shoei,Arai or AGV.

Triumph Tiger 800

Smoother than a twin and more characterful than a four and not forgetting that lovely whistly fruity soundtrack:thumb:

Have owned both. No diff to me.

Arai is not especially light. Neither is Shoei. Both also offers the same protection. Same noise level. Same comfort.

If I want protection, lightness, I'll go buy a CF helmet like the Akuma Phantom II, or Nexx XR1R Carbon.
