Dear Readers,

Greetings!

Wish to share with you my experience. I have vowed never to deal with these people anymore.

I was looking for some fork seals for my Fazer 6.

Was told is available but someone going into store to take. 45 mins passed and seals never came. Then suddenly a guy came from behind the counter and said the seals out of stock. So need to go out to get. Seals came after almost 1.5 hrs. Here is the crux, their mechanic cannot fix cause 5 pm already. Was told to fix myself or go to mechanic directly to discuss installation. Went to Lor 23 to enquire installation. Told cost would be $70 to change oil seals and need to leave bike for a day.

I decided to go elsewhere to change fork seal. Upon CLOSER INSPECTION Of OIL SEALS, SEALS ARE NOT MEANT FOR FAZER. althought packaging looked YAMAHA.

Returned seals and was given a hard time to get my cash back. All sort of excuses given! I was adamant to just get my cash back. Maybe to the extend I made them very unhappy.

WASTE OF TIME, EFFORT AND PETROL.

FOR me don't mind paying a little more but definitely NO NO NO to these people although I have been bearing their Bull all these years.

WORD OF ADVICE. THEY MAY SOUND CHEAP BUT PARTS MAY BE OLD(esp tires), NOT CORRECT fit, and a strictly buy but no exchange or refund. BE VERY CAUTIOUS!

Happened to me one time. Went there to buy replacement for visor but was advised to get a new helmet, so what the heck I said bring one out but waited for slightly more than half an hour. Fed up of the waiting, I walk out of the shop and then I heard someone shouting they got the helmet but I was too pissed to return.

To be frank Mr Ah Boy service is good and helpful base on my buying experience if something wrong with the product he will change or refund with apologize.

Mainly I know what item I'm getting so far I had no issue with them.

Bro, his story here is Ah boy come out with this brand of helmet, that allows you to adjust size by adjusting sponge thickness and Regina imported the helmets and do uh-huh business. (Hiding behind shop's storeroom and pasting size sticker to make it look like the typical size the buyer asked for) So he is claiming that LAB and regina make agreement to do **** out of him.

yup, seems like it.

but actually, i believe some of the riders will ask for size, AND actually try it on before buying it. lets put it this way, if i wear a XL, i ask for a XL, he gives me a XL, i try it on, but cannot fit, then it doesnt matter if the label says XL or XXL. becos.... it just doesnt fit :p

LAB is only good for those that know what they want. not for window shopping. my experience with them so far has been good and straight forward.

with any group of people, there are bound to be jokers that try to be funny, riders and retailers alike.

i got something similar. I want to change my visor as I had an accident on my old 2B bike. went there and they say no stock and they say stock will come next week. I went next week they say stock will come next month, so I went next month they say still no stock and I have to call on weekday so they can order the stock. Then i called them, the person said they have stock and ask me to come over. when I come over they say no stock again. After that I gave up til now I have not change the visor of that helmet. I bought a new helmet somewhere else.

Not true in my case bro. Why do you think there are is a topic as such.

Still no more LAB for me and would not introduce it either.

Most helmet shells come in 2 sizes. Some comes in 3 sizes. The sponge is what makes the sizing one size smaller/bigger.

Bikes

Men ride it. Boys dream about it.

I've 2 Nolan N103 (PSB Approved) brought from Chong Aik, one is XL, one is XS. Both outer shell same size, only the inner polyform and sponge pads are different. Therefore, I think it doesn't matter if they change the sponge pads and claim the sizes accounting to what you wants as long the helmet fit your head.

personal opinion, if you dont do your hmwrk & head down to LAB, you will be wasting your time. (or getting chopped)

their way of business is unique as much of the forumers states, my experience was a good one, they directed me to the nearest atm and walked with me to make sure i dont get lost. (was buying rear tyres) & upon reaching the wrkshop, after realizing they brought the wrong tyres over, just politely request them to bring the correct one over, they went back to grab the correct one for me.

That's why alot of people say, do your homework before going down, i was and STILL am a noob.

Break the stereotype. Females do ride.

Experienced today.

I am slightly bigger build, so I went in to get raincoat. Ask them and they recommended me the big one. So I did not try and leaving. When I reach my bike, I decided to put it on. IT WAS SUPER BIG. 6XL they gave me. the sleeve is 1.5times my arm length. Went back to the shop, they said it's good for you, you can Velcro and shoo-ed me out. unhappy I went in again, I asked for XL to try. They said the pants cant fit me. Then wanted to shoo me out again. I firmly asked for XL.

I can freaking wear the whole thing and it's still slightly big. I guess they are clearing stock.

From my experience, I wouldn't go to them for parts. They either fit poorly or last for only a short while before they break (mirrors and levers for my case). As for helmets and other accessories, it boils down to doing your homework, knowing your stuff and being firm.

Went down there for the first time to get box. So far, I experienced more than that I expected.

The Anty is ok in dealing, the workshop also ok. I get the cheapest compare to what I have been looking for box to 4 well known place.

Do homework b4 going.

Up for LAB :D.

Have tried motor shops in Singapore and JB. Most of them business model is the same, trying to clear current stock.

Before buying 1) Know what you want. 2) Do some research.

During purchasing 1) try on it. 2) check every parts and label.

My experience with motor shop is 1) they always pushing to clear their's stock, when you want something, they don't have, they try recommend you something else. 2) I got a riding jacket and try, feel too small and they keep saying just nice. 3) I buy an XL glove and give me L size.

Until now lately, only Bile Seven in JB operates by Japanese has good service.

In SG, there little consumer rights. Usually when disputes arises, its a private settlement. Hence in SG, u have to be really xtra careful in purchases. Cos when things gp wrong, ur on ur own. Not sure if the recent lemon law helps on such situations.

Not entirely true. I have won a case in small claims court. There was also the famous case of the lady who won the small claims case against nokia singapore. It possible to get retribution but it a lot of hard work lah.
